Personality traits that help me be a great caregiver include compassion, integrity, reliability, and my outgoing nature. I enjoy being with people and learning from them. I also really enjoy helping people. What attracted me to being a caregiver is the same thing that attracted me to being an EMT - helping people. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is learning from people that are more experienced than I. Also, I do enjoy helping people and spending time with them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is my kids. I have 3 kids, ages 22, 10, and about to turn 3. A boy and 2 girls. They are my world. Another achievement I am proud of is being a firefighter/ EMT. My dad was a firefighter/EMT and I was very proud to follow in his footsteps. He was my hero. One more thing I am proud of, that is a work in progress, is that I am currently learning how to code. I am almost done learning Python. I am very proud of that.

I've been in a caregiving roll of some sort almost my entire life. I love what I do and have a passion for it. I love being of service to others. I had a gentleman I cared for that had trouble moving his feet and was extremely tall...I asked him if he liked to dance and he responded that he loved to...I said let me lead and he was able to get around with my help so much better. ...proud moment of problem solving.

I am a compassionate, caring and understanding caregiver , I love to help the elderly in whatever they need me too help such as feeding,personal hygiene , transferring, bathing etc.

I care..have taken care of family members when others are too busy or simply dont care.. I'm getting older but am blessed with good health and find helping others is fulfill ing for me. I'm alone having lost my wife of many many years so I enjoy the company probably as much as they do.

I became a caregiver, starting with my father had Alzheimer 15 years ago, while I did care of him, I find out about my passion for making a difference in a meaningful way for elderly to enrich their lives. For the past 5 years, I did care for a lady who recently past away at the age of 99. I have lots of experience with taking care of Alzheimer/dementia/stroke/cancer/heart attack and Hospice patients..I have a Home Health Aide and CNA license. I am a 44 year old female who loves and takes my job very seriously! I love working with the elderly. Personal achievements I raised my kids to be wonderful adults! I enjoy everything about being a caregiver but what I enjoy the most is learning about the person, all of their achievements and tricks of the trade!

I retired this year and decided I would not be home sitting down and getting lonely or flabby. I have been providing respite care for about 4 years for church members during weekends so I decided to make it my retirement job. I am very patient, love to clean, cook, chat. I have been taking care of hospice and assisted living seniors for several years during weekends while working full time during the week so I am now doing it for an agency and also taking clients on my own. What I like the most about my caregiving job is to see my seniors being happy and no longer scared and lonely wondering who will help them to stay independent as long as they can.
