I like being a care giver since 1997.. since I use to take care of my grandma. I like helping other family who don't have none to help them that's why I like being a caregiver. My personal achievement are that I took classes to be a CNA as will and I also got my CPR . An have work as a CNA years ago and work as provider for many years as will. I just love the medical filed.. I like to see my clients with a big smile and comfortable with my service.

I have been in this field for 7 years mainly hospice patients. I've had a wide scope of patients from demencia, copd, wheelchair bound, blind,etc... Though the years I've discovered my measurements of success in the caregiving field.One being able to give my clients the best last days of there life! There is great joy in bringing laughter to many in their time of need.

I really enjoy helping the patient comfortable in their own space. My grandfather and the way he was treated in a nursing home. He just wanted to be at his home. Helping my patient feel comfortable and relaxed. Letting him or her tell stories about the past,love,kids, what it was like in the old days. Being there for them when they need me most. I am very positive and happy at all times. I smile and laugh at lot and it is very uplifting to my patients. My mother passed away from cancer in 2002. I cared for her until she went to heaven. I became a professional caregiver after taking care of my mom for 10 years before she passed away and have been in the non medical home health industry for over 15 years. I have experience with hospice patients, colostomy patients, Alzheimer's and dementia, stroke patients, bed bound patients, those with feeding tubes and catheters, Parkinson's disease to name a few. One family even told me that had I not been their loved one's caregiver he would not have lived to see his birthday! He was a 90 year old hospice patient! What I like best about being a caregiver is providing companionship to the elderly and giving them something to smile about and want to continue living!
