I love working with the elderly they're break listeners I love to listen to them I love to talk to them play games with them they got so much wisdom I like to learn from them

I am an Occupational Therapy student going through my last rotation before graduation. I'm caring, kind, and attentive. Through school, I have gained skills that will make me a competent and mindful caregiver.

I was a caregiver/provider from January 2003 to August 2019. I completed a certified nurse assistant course in January 2003, as well as 12 hours continuing education yearly for 16 years.

In 2010 I began working as a caregiver, I became a Caregiver because I'm a very nurturing person at heart, and I find it very rewarding helping others in anyway I can; especially those in need. I like the position because I can cheer someone up if their sad or depressed, and or show them support all the time. I enjoy doing things for them such as light house work, cook their meals or just conversate with them for moral support. I feel it is very important to make someone feel at ease and to let them know that someone cares and shows interest in them, this can make a world of difference to someone who may not have family or friends to care for them. I'm proud of the fact that I paid off my 20 yr mortgage recently, that is my personal achievement.. I'm very proud to say that I have been married for 29 yrs and raised a very loving, caring, humble 20 yr old daughter. I am very responsible and make smart decisions in my personal life and in the work place. I have 3 dogs and one cat which I love and care for..

I am an excellent listener, I am very alert of my surroundings. I pay very close attention and monitor my patients every move. I am alert with time management as well. I was previously CPR and First Aid Certified. I have my own transportation am a very responsible person.

I'm very honest and respectful towards others. I love to help and spend time with patients. My personal achievement is to go back to school so I can better myself and be able to help others.

I'm currently in Nursing school. I enjoy helping people . I was told once by a Priest "Thanks for answering the call". I remind my self with this phrase every day .

I am a loyal, patient, and honest person who enjoys helping others. I chose to be a caregiver because I understand the conditions and felt the need to help; I put other peoples needs before my own. My grandmother, who has had multiple strokes, is now paralyzed on her right side of her body and is unable to speak and do any of her daily activities. My aunt who is an RN had taught me the ropes on to being my grandmother's temporary caregiver. Not only did I enjoy the time spent with my grandmother, but I also enjoyed that I was able to give back and make an impact on her life. I only hope to do the same for others.

My personality traits or expertise are that I try to communicate well with the elderly and try to be as patient as possible to be able to understand their needs. What attracted me to be a caregiver was that I lost my job as a clerk due to personal reasons years ago and well I had to work to support myself and that's when I started as a caregiver and actually I've enjoyed it. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I love socializing with them and make them feel that they belong here in this world other than them being depressed about not having anyone to communicate with them as far as their families who are working and not having time to visit with them. My personal achievements was being able to do just about everything possible with the elderly since they all have different moods and are used to having everything their own way. All elderly have different needs and moods every single day so you have to be able to adjust to their needs or communicate with them as best possible and like I said you need to have alot of patience.
