Hello I am Alicia- I have done private home care for approx. 10+ years. I find it very rewarding to give the care I wish to receive for myself or family members if/when I may need help doing everyday tasks. I raised 4 children & now have beautiful grandbabies to enjoy & visit them as often as I'm able to. For the past year & a half I've lived with my dad caring for him and his COPD- on November 21, 2022 he lost the fight against his disease. I'm a people person I love sparking conversations and helping others! if I can I will make it a task to put a smile on your face! Caregiving is something that's apart of my family, all the women in my family work in the medical field and it's something I learned to love to take care of people and all their needs their not able to do, im a helping hand and I love it! what I enjoy most is putting a smile on their face while taking take of every important task that needs to be done.

I grew up taking care of my grandfather and grandmother whom unfortunately past away from liver-related and diabetical issues. After that, I began focusing on my passion which is using my engineering abilities in order to help people with various illnesses live a better and more comfortable life. My goal after completing school is to work towards the inventions of med-technological devices that improve living conditions for people around the world. With good personal assistant experience and knowledge of engineering, I will stop at no cost of my goal of improving the world.

I became CNA/QMAP 22 years ago to make a difference in the quality of care given to patients. Im a very compassionate, empathetic, efficient, reliable, honest, trustworthy individual and I pride myself in giving the best cares. I love the relationships I build with my patients and their families. I love the impact knowing them has in my life. Trult what I was meant to do was care for people. I love it! I am a very lovable, outgoing, personable, empathetic, and genuine caregiver. I have a unique caring nature about me that I was born with. As a little kid I would find animals that were hurt and restore their health and send them on their way or keep them as I have one of them till this day. My mother noticed it and told me I would make a great nurse someday. Before both my grandparents passed away I helped them through the difficult end. They both said never lose sight of your dreams of becoming a nurse and to pursue caring for people because I am incredible at it. I've cared for a wide range of amazing people. When I am taking care of someone that is when I am my happiest. I'm proud that I have stuck with this for so long because really it comes naturally so it's easy for me. I am proud that I had such wonderful influences growing up. Even without them I think my passion for caring would still be in my heart.

My current employer did a profile on me for social media. She described me as, "The most honest and humble person you will ever meet." I don't know about that but I do know my first rule is to treat everyone with kindness. I have a passion for what I do. This isn't just a job to me, it's a career. I first got into LTC in 2005. I was amazed at how wonderful our residents were and the amazing lives they lived. It became my goal to commit to LTC. I am proud of what I do because every person I take care of is special to me. Giving them the absolute best care is what I'm all about.

I've been a CNA for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love it. I started of working in hospitals and facilities and now do home health care. Very experienced and always happy :)
