Hi im Shannon, I am very caring, friendly, enjoy meeting new people. I love working/helping the senior public, I learn alot from them they have lived through many years and they are experienced. My favorite is to hear when and how or where they grew up. Its a warm nice feeling. My Mom and Dad both passed from cancer so i have lots of experience from taking care of them. I learned how to clean my Moms trach which i feel is a big achievement for me I sure never thought i could ever do something like that, but it was for my Mom and for her to be able to come home so yes I did learn that and would of moved mountains if needed to be. I hope to be able to help anywhere I may be needed.

I'm a single mother of 2 teenagers. I have 10 years experience in home health work and medical assisting.

During my childhood years, caring for my elderly grandparents was a part of my everyday life. They had several health issues and were in and out of hospitals frequently. I was exposed to caregivers in many different settings. The impact that kind, compassionate and informative care-giving made all the difference to me and my family. At the age of 12, I knew nursing was what I wanted to do with my life. As I pursued nursing, I started out caring for patients in a nursing home as a nursing assistant. I loved this, as I got to care for clients, just like my grandparents. The opportunity to establish connections with clients week-to-week was special! After nursing school, I moved to caring for patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse. The hospital experiences have given me a broad scope of skills, whether it is assisting patients with basic self-care needs, changing dressings, managing ventilators or providing education, being able to establish a rapport with patients and their family's is still one of the favorite parts of my job. I love being able to help people understand what is going on with their health and their treatment plan. Just as others demonstrated to my own family, I want each of my clients and their family members to feel safe, cared for and heard.

I am an ambitious hard worker with a comprehensive work experience and education pursuing a role in the growing medical field by bringing expertise through optimizing advocacy within patient care. I have always had a strong passion for helping others and making a difference. I am a dedicated, caring, hard-working, person who strives to give the best care to those who need it. :-)

I have always loved taking care of others. I grew up helping take care of my great-grandmother, and decided to make a career out of it after she passed away last year. I also have experience in a nursing home, so I have been around multiple disorders and diseases. I have experience with mechanical lifts also.

Over the Past 10 years I have had the incredible opportunity to care for families and their loved ones. Starting my career in Alzheimer/ memory care and Hospice, as well working with aging population with disabilities , cognitive impairments & chronic illness such as CHF. I've always known from day one that caring for people and their families was and always will be my passion and calling in life. I have been fortunate enough to expand my education from nursing to EMS, as well as becoming a certified AHA BLS CPR instructor . I have extensive experience with medication management, Vital's and chronic illness management- as well as feeding, lifts, bathing and all daily life care! I am looking to continue to share my passion, experience and dynamic skills in healthcare with a family and loved one in need! Hello I'm a nice caregiver over seven years working for loving family's. I enjoy helping making people smile, I'm reliable and hard working.

I am a very driven and compassionate individual who serves the basic needs of young children, young adults and elderly people. I have had five years of care-giving experience to others with and without disabilities. I had decided last year to enhance my skills. I went to college for medical assisting and graduated in late march. I am now a Medical Assistant working at Barrington Health. With the set of skills and qualifications i have i still want to carry on my caregiver duty to help those who need it through compassion Love and understanding.

I enjoy caring for and helping the elderly, as well as others who might need assistance. I have been a home health care for about 12 years. I was also CNA certified for 6 years. I have experience especially with Dementia /Alzheimer's , cancer patients and paraplegic patients. I love my job because I feel that the elderly deserve the upmost respect and I strongly believe they deserve the best quality of care.
