What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. I, Shonita Badillo became a caregiver because I love working with the elderly and, sick. Caregiving has always been my passion because, when I was a teenager I cared for my grandmother. I enjoy being a caregiver because, it gives me joy to see a smile on my clients face, and, also I feel I can bring a lot to their life such as understanding patience and, compassion. I started off being Certified Nursing Assistant and went back to school, inspired by my patients, and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. I have now been a nurse for 5 years and then some. I love people and caring for them. Bringing happiness and love is something I enjoy giving.

I always listen to the person that I'm taking care of, I enjoy helping elderly and disabled people, I help a person that was giving up on life, I talked to her and she listened to me he was upset because she couldn't walk
