I became a CNA in 2016 while caring for my Special Needs Daughter. I knew it was in me to do so. I've grown to Love to make peoples needs so much more easier. I'm still trying to continue my career as a future Nurse.

I come from a family with special needs children that have helped me build my good character and grow my love and empathy. What has attracted me to be a caregiver aside from my experience has been my love for special needs children and adults and my empathy and Understandment towards people who cant or are no longer able to complete tasks on their own. I have always been taught to be a leader and with that role comes big responsibility. The first one being to be a great listener and to be willing to learn. I love to spread words of encouragement. I love being a caregiver because i love to listen to peoples stories, hear them out and be there for them. Its important to know that being a leader is not only being a boss but its being supportive, respectful, and most importantly having communication. As a close family member to a special needs child I am proud to say that I was able to help with his journey till he made it to school. Re-orgination, identifying problems and solving them, working on awards, schedules, and life skills are all achievements I was able to accomplish with him. From tasks as teaching him to tie his shoes, to buttoning up shirts and teaching him how to speak. I was also able to teach him how to write, and identify many items. These tasks took alot of work but with hard work, dedication and most importantly patience anything is possible.
