I am a patient caring person with a positive attitude. I was attracted to care work and rehab tech because of my interest in the human anatomy, physiology and kinesiology . I enjoy working one on one with people on assisting them in their daily living needs. My greatest achievement is having worked with a young gentleman post spinal cord injury and am still working with him. He is an Incomplete quadriplegic and he and his family now consider me part of their family.
I would like to be considered for the caregiver position of your Love One. As a caregiver with lots of experience, I will work diligently in providing relevant activities, and personal assistance to your Love One, in a dedicated, but safe and caring environment. I have extensive hands- on experience, as a caregiver, working with various people including the Elderly, children, those who are ill and those with disabilities in their homes. I also have recent experience working in a Nursing facility. I am energetic, honest, and very cognizant of the need for reliability, patience, compassion, and trustworthiness at all times. Given the opportunity, I will always work, to make your Love One comfortable with daily assistance, and personal care. I feed, clean, and care. Be assured that your Love one will be in caring, responsible hands. I have a very clean background, Bachelors in Education, and CPR qualifications. Stellar references are available. The day I realized I wanted to care for people was when I was just sitting there watching my grandmother taking care of all us grandchildren. I was very close to my grandparents and learned from the best. When I became a wife and a mom, I knew then what my plans were for my future. I love taking care of the elderly and spending time with them. Just listening to them talk with all the wisdom and knowledge they have. I truly learn from that. I am very gentle and caring with the elderly as I know they need that and someone to listen and talk too. I would prefer for no bathing on males. We will all be there one day.
Why? Because I care, and am blessed to be able to. Here's how it happened: I became a caregiver first when grandma was diagnosed with cancer. Moved in with her for 3 months until she died. (We live in same town.) . That was 6 year's ago. Four years ago we moved my mother-in-law in with us. (She's 78 & was diagnosed in 2005 .) I continue to be the full time caregiver, with an aide who comes several times a week to help with bathing. Yes, I sometimes get pretty stressed, but I'm just thankful I am able to do this for them. I hope the time will never come that I'll have to resort to putting them in a nursing home. . If it was up them the parents would have gone to a nursing home long time ago. Praise the Lord, He has giving me strength to make a difference here!
I am a caring soul born and raised here in Texas and I take great pride in helping those who can not help themselves. I work against the clock in moments when time is of the essence, I keep a very punctual schedule for a great outcome as well as to show respect for others time. I am an overachiever and do not expect anything in return, I take any kind of constructive criticism and l am not to prideful to learn better more efficient ways to do a task. I am a hard worker and most importantly I am very caring but I can establish a relationship with a client to a way where we are both comfortable, but I can also do my job.
