I have worked as a caregiver ever since I came to this country. It has been my true passion to provide care and companionship to the elderly since in El Salvador where I come from we take care of our elderly, love them, respect and are thankful at all times. I cared for my mother until the last day of her life. I have many years of experience providing care for elderly patients and now disabled children. I take pride in everything I do and I like to do the best I can in anything I do. I love proving companionship and seeing that I brighten someone's day by being part of their everyday lives knowing they are happy when I'm with them is very rewarding. I'm easy going, friendly and get along with my co workers and my employers have always loved me.

I began care-giving in November 2012 with my elderly grandmother, who is now 100. I have also provided care for people outside of my family as well. I am very compassionate, patient, thorough, and trustworthy. I fell into care-giving, as my mom needed help caring for her mother 6 years ago. I'm good at what I do, because I really care about helping people. My family is important to me. I have volunteered at animal shelters, and I enjoy long distance running.

The reason how I[?] became interested in this inhome care was when my grandmother opened her home to disabled adults and asked for my help That's when I[?] Found out these people are just like little newborn babies and needs the most care of and loving people around them . I am currently working on my education on earing my register nurse license. Moreover, it all started in a health class in middle school. I choose to volunteer in nursing home and that is where my heart fell in love with the elderly. They are very fragile, they need care, and I just feel this is a way to give back to them for all they did throughout their lifetime. I love to hear all of their stories, spend time with them. In some nursing homes, the nurses are always in a hurry to get their job done and they have no time to sit and listen. Some of the elderly appreciate a little bit of time to hear them out. I have encountered many elderly in nursing homes that do not have any family or have stopped coming for visits and they feel lonely, that brakes my heart. Some felt bad because they couldnt care for themselves. Therefore, it is important for someone to help the elderly while encouraging their independence yet helping them so they don't feel like a burden.
