I have been an STNA/caregiver for 19 years! I have cared for patients in nursing facilities, hospitals, and their homes. I lead with love and enjoy serving seniors in any way that they may need.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. I did not allow obstacles to hold me hostage from my goals and dreams.

I went back to school to get my stna to help others I watched my mother be an stna my whole life so I went and got my stna I love being able to help and hear there story from way back then as most of them say to me (: I'm easy going. I became a caregiver because I watched my Grandma in the nursing home get treated poorly and I wanted to make a difference in at least one person's life. I make a good caregiver because I treat everyone like they're my family; I'm loving, caring, and very compassionate about what I do.
