My personality traits that help me be an excellent caregiver are; empathy, attentiveness, sense of humor and supportive. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was seeing how my mother took care of her mother when I was a little girl. Witnessing that instilled a desire in me to do the same for my own mother if and when she needs me in that way. My mother not only took care of my grandmother but she checked on the elderly, family or not, if someone needed help she was there and to this day presents the same urgency. I enjoy knowing that I am able to give someone relief and the assurance that they are safe and will be taken care of. A personal achievement that I am proud of is proving to myself that I am resilient when trials have been thrown my way.

I've worked for Hospice for the last 15 years and I'm a mother of 5 kids and 23 grandbabies and taking care of people is what I do. I feel a sense of accomplishment by offering the good care that I give. I have pt's tell me that I'm the best part of their day. Making sure that a person is comfortable is what I do. My hopes and dreams is to own a group home one day.

Caregiving has always been one of those things that I have always been drawn to. Providing the best of care when someone needs it most, and help to nurture them back to health. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? I truly enjoy the feedback that I get from my clients and valuable family members, it truly helps me become a better caregiver. Ultimately this would help increase their health care level and hopefully lead to a speedy recovery.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others and think that having a job that allows me to do this would be wonderful! The thing that I like best about being a care giver is providing the kind of support and attention to another person that has been so wonderfully provided to my family in times of need. Hello, I am Destiney. I moved to Arizona two years ago from Texas. I was a CNA in Texas for a few years. I got my CNA license when I was a senior in high school. Helping people is my passion! I am currently in college to become a respiratory therapist. I do have a level one fingerprint clearance card that I am willing to show upon interviewing.

I have always loved helping others. I grew up in a medical background with my father & brother being doctors and mother a massage therapist. My first job after having my children was elderly caregiving. I found it easy to work my schedule around my family since it is a 24hr business. I helped in taking care of my elderly grandmother when I was still single. I guess that's where I realised my interest in the personal care profession. With my years of experience in this profession 'Empathy' is what makes me stand out in what I do. Putting yourself in place of who you're caring for and imagining how you would like to be treated would only encourage you to provide caring, compassionate, and dignified care with a great attitude.
