My name is Edith I go by Kc some personality traits that you can say that I have that would make me a great caregiver is that, I am very observant when it comes to taking care of people say have a kind heart and tend to have a lot of empathy and with this profession we need to have some sort of empathy. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is that there is a joy that I get from being able to take care of someone, or by assisting with someone that needs help with their ADLs. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I can say that I've started as a CNA I am currently an LVN and I will continue to further my education to become an RN within my scope of practice. I am proud of this achievement because not only and I helping people and assisting them. But I'm also helping them improve their health for a better life.

I stared off being a caregiver as I was attending college. Because I had a passion for helping and healing people, I persuade a care in the healthcare field with obtaining my certification as a nurse assist. Throughout the five years of me being certified I have worked at many Long term care facilities and hospitals. At my most recent job, community hospital of San Bernardino I work in the float pool department. Which I was able to work in Er, telemetry, med surge, icu, labor and delivery, peds sub acute, neurological and behavioral health. With this experience I was able to gain knowledge and skills to become a well rounded nurse assistant.

I enjoy working with those that are in need of care or just some companion, and make sure that they can get around with their daily activities, I enjoy cooking home cook meals. Some people don't have family around and I like them to know that there are people out here that care. I became a Caregiver case of my grandmother. She had Cancer and I wanted her to have the best care that could be given and to me that was with a family member. I am 47 years old, married , one daughter and one granddaughter. I love being with my family on holidays. Family is the most important thing in my life making sure they are taking care of.

I enjoy taking care of people and see a difference in people's lives daily due to the care they receive. Helping others in their times of need is giving back to society in my sees. Hello I'm Jomaira Gaxiola and I'm an LVN student at Summit College! Ever since I was 10 I knew I was meant to help people and be in the medical field. When I was 10 years old I took care of some twins and helped the mom raise them and when I was 12 I took care of a family friend that had a stroke and was paralyzed from his left side and to this day I call him grandpa. As a caregiver I make sure my patients are well taken care of and are happy. I'm such an outgoing, hard working and loyal person. As a caregiver I can help with bathing, changing, feeding, cooking, doing laundry, light housekeeping, provide transportation and so much more! Being a caregiver over the years had made me grow and be the person I am to this day. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that connection I get to have with my patients and learning about there life etc. I feel the happiest when I can help someone in life and take care of them.

I became a caregiver when.I was 16 after my grandmother had a stroke.I just loved helping her.once I finished high school I knew the career I wanted for my life would be to help others. I enjoy the praise they give when they know someone cares.. I have medical assistant diploma.. I also have my CNA (just had to renew waiting on license from the state.) I am currently a nursing student to become an LVN and I wish to finish school for RN in the future as well. Before living in California I used to work with a facility who helped diabetic patients in Oklahoma. I've always wanted to do nursing to help people, so when I moved to California I chose to work in caregiving to be more hands on in helping. In my current nursing program we have clinicals, where we interact and help patients so I'm always helping people out which is amazing. Nothing makes me happier than to hear a patient say I've made their day a little better.

I love not just helping others with their Health Care but I live for it. As a young girl my grandmother would take me to work with her and I would watch in awe how she helped others who could help themselves and nurse them back to health. I didn't know that I would be helping her as a teenager after she suffered a stroke and heart attack. But it was a joy and it was natural. when I am helping others whether a baby to an elder, I always hear her words ringing in my ear, treat people the way you want to be treated. So every Grandmother, Grandfather and so on are mines. The main thing I want people to know is that your family is not only safe, but I know how to turn me off, when I am taking care of a client they are #1 priority as far as I know my personal life has never interfered with My job duties.

I'm very outgoing, lover of people, very considerate and Passionate. I enjoy helping others and taking care of Needs that one may not be able to take care of themselves. I love to giving back and making others smile and feel special. In doing so it brings me joy to know that I have made the day better for others and their families. I love the interaction and I enjoy helping.

I've been a CNA for 5 years, I've come to love what I do. The thought of someone needing your help and you being able to help is a wonderful feeling. What I love most about my job is the bathing it's relaxing and therapeutic. A personal achievement of mine is knowing I can put someone's mind at ease throughout the day because they have the help they need.
