I have a genuine interest in caring for others and their needs. I enjoy hearing about the lives that my clients have led and allowing them to talk about whatever their interest may be and definitely do not mind hearing the same story over and over, I think those stories are ones that may be significant to them, and will gladly hear it again. I am patient, empathetic, and understanding with my clients. Initially what attracted me to being a caregiver was being able to meet and be apart of someone's journey while offering compassionate care. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I am able to assist another when they may not be able to do for themselves. I was able to care for my mother while she went through cancer treatments and up until she passed. I realized we don't only care for our loved ones by providing physical care, it is more than that. While she was going through many changes and facing obstacles I grew an understanding in my approach in caring for her. At times I was physically caring for her by bathing, grooming and dressing and other days I was there to offer emotional support, or words of encouragement as she struggled through her own illness. I see my clients in this sense. I may not be going through what they are, but I can empathize and sympathize with them. I am most proud of being able to care for my Mother while she was going through the most difficult time in her life and being able to provide care in any way she needed it.

I have a passion for assisting people and helping them to be independent with assistance. It is a joy to aid and support clients with physical and developmental disability to be able to accomplish their goals with assistance. I am a caring person. I worked at Cajon Valley School District where I worked with special need students my duties was to assist with studies, life skills, and hygiene. I have also took care of my mother and sister who had cancer from doctor appointments,house cleaning, and hygiene. My goal is to work as a home caregiver and to get my cna certificate to work with senior and children in assisting in their life skill developement.

I am Hard-working CNA who takes pride in doing tasks on time and in education the local. Able to multitask, and enjoy helping others. I pride myself on performing pre and post-operative care. Commended for charting accuracy, effective team collaboration, patient relations and consistently delivery of empathetic care to patients and their families.

I grew up in a family where there was no age gap. My grandmothers, both lived to be 104, and 94. My eldest grandmother used to rock me and sing songs she knew from the 1800's, when she was a child. She smelled of Ponds and talcum powder. Her family traveled from Iowa to Missouri in a covered wagon. My younger grandmother (by only a few years) developed early Alzheimer's in her mid-seventies. She had to be put in a home. Once I was old enough to drive, I would take her from the home and out to eat occasionally. One time I had a niece with me who was about nine, which put me about 19, and my grandmother took her teeth out and put them in her glass of water at the restaurant. My niece almost fell off of her chair, but that was what my grandmother did with her teeth everynight before she went to sleep. To her it was perfectly normal. I also had great empathy for her. She had eight children with two of them dying when they were children due to an illness. My mom said she would embroidery lace around each leg of her five girls, underwear. She was always busy. I loved her sugar cookies and tuna biscuit casserole. If you are looking for someone, to care for someone you love, who has genuine concern for their well-being and will advocate for them in every possible way-then I'm the person you're looking for. I am flexible, reliable and kind-hearted. I've always been inspired to help people. I want to be a teacher or a nurse one day. I previously worked at a charity for children world wide. I would love the opportunity to make someone else's life a little easier and brighter.

I became a caregiver when I was asked to help take care of my best friend who had lung Cancer. I took care of her the last two months of her life. I have been working with two different home health agencies in the Austin area. I like helping others and making them happy. I am happily living in Austin with my two cats and I have three grown children I love dearly.

Hello, my name is Kendra and I am currently working as a caregiver. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very patient and have a passion for helping others. I became a caregiver because I am currently in college working towards my associates degree in nursing, so this is a job I can enjoy while completing that. The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is the personal connection you build with each patient.
