Hello, my name is Aundrea :) and at age 16 I started doing caregiver work for my great grandmother after a few years I went off to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Since then I've worked in several different skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation center, in home private care & also have experience with live-in. Caregiving is deeper to me than just a job, it brings me a sense of joy to know that I'm able to help such an amazing generation with daily tasks that I may take for granted in my everyday life (such as bathing, or cooking etc.) basically what I'm trying to say is I work with my heart involved, I can't help but to see a little piece of my grandmother in everyone I take care of whether its from the way they talk to the shows that they watch. It all hits a soft spot to me.

I prefer being an in-home caregiver and making it possible for a delicate person to stay near family, to stay in their home. Where they can be around familiar suroundings and family.

I became a caregiver after a health scare with my dad in my early 20's, and decided it was important to educate myself and learn skills necessary to take care of my parents. I am a great caregiver due to my experience and nursing career goal . I have taken care of my great grandfather who suffered from PTSD from the Korean War and World War 2, who was also diabetic and had dementia. I also cared for my grandfather who had a heart transplant surgery and is also diabetic. I also have my BLS certification. I also went to school to become an EMT. I became a caregiver because my brother was dying and the RN saved his life and it is what made me make the decision to make the difference in someone elses life.
