I've always enjoyed helping elderly people or people that can't help themselves people that are older than me they need so much help nowadays . I feel really blessed to be able to help someone that needs help. At the end of the day I feel blessed.

Being a caregiver is something that I love doing ever since growing up. Growing up in a big family and helping one another is something we do. I am attentive and easy to get a long with. The one thing i love most about being a caregiver is that I love to help and assist those who needs the help and assistance in their day to day routine. I feel that as my great achievement just to be somewhere that I'm needed the most and I will do everything in my best ability to successfully complete a task at hand.

Because of taking care of my father for over several years until he passed from dementia, I feel I am a wonderful caregiver. I am compassionate and understand that patience is important when caring for anyone. I love arts and crafts, watching movies, reading. I have a great sence of humor and can crack a joke from time to time. I like eating out, love to bake and traveling to the Los Angeles fashion district. Waiting to go to New York one day. My preference as a caregiver is companionship, taking time to talk and listen to a person in their elder years and keeping them company is important. I will take you to doctors appt, lite housekeeping, some meal prep and help you run errands. Along with having several years experience taken care of my father I have also experience with other clients. I have taken an 60 hours training course in home care. I am registered with IHSS with a clean background check. I have a CPR and First Aid card. In addition I have experience as a medical assistance. I have over 7 years experience as a caregiver. It all started when I cared for my grandfather, who had Alzheimer's-I helped him for 4 years before he passed. From there, I continued my interest in the at home healthcare field and continue to enjoy this rewarding experience. I am often complimented on my patience, trustworthiness, dependability, punctuality, and understanding (by not creating arguments rather working with both the clients and their families). I also enjoy bringing humor to my clients, as it not only can make their day brighter, but also makes me feel content and happy . Over the years, I have been around many different personalities and conditions, but one thing all the clients have in common is the difference with the level of care in their own homes vs in a facility. They can stay in the comfort of their homes and also get the 1-on-1 care they honestly deserve. I have worked in facilities and in the home setting, and the home care is by far more comfortable, enjoyable, and peaceful for the clients; this has reminded me why I keep walking this path everyday as a caregiver. Knowing that I am making a difference in seniors lives is not only an enriching experience but it also defines my personal job, and that is to be here to help others, whether it's for physical and/or emotional support through compassion.

I am the mother of three young children who span all needs of parenthood which gives me a great understanding of the human condition. Care giving allows me to connect with others on a deeper level. I have a deep compassion for helping others who are unable to help themselves whether mentally or physically. I have worked in the past with children and adults on the ASD spectrum which gave me a great feeling of fulfillment. I believe that a strong human connection is just as important for the elderly as it is for the young and in certain cases can improve quality of life. One of the proudest moments I have personally, was running my very first marathon. This was a goal of mine that seemed out of reach, and as I crossed the finish line, I was full of pride and happiness. Running has always been a large part of my life and this was the crowing moment.
