I have been an LVN for 8 years and love being a nurse. My clients are very important to me. I started out being a Caregiver, went on to be a Certified Nurse Assistant, and now Licensed Vocational Nurse. I graduated College with an Associate of Science and Arts Degree. My goal has always been to be a nurse.

I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 5 years. I LOVE what I do and everything about it. I am compassionate and loyal to all my residents and patients. I am detail oriented and have truly have patience for all situations. I just always loved helping people and being in the business of blessing people.

I like working with the elderly because I like helping them to become more independent snd how happy they are when they receive something from one of their love ones, I also like working with the elderly because they are always willing to talk with you about things in their life that made them the happiest and how they use to do things compared to the things they are now doing, and helping them make the most of their life that is left on earth be exciting, happy and the best it can be.

My love in life is taking care of others!! I have always been this way... since I was a kid I have always said I wanted to either be a Doctor, a Vet or a Nurse. Unfortunitly I was not education inclined when I was a kid so the aspirations of being a DR or a VET went quick...But now I work as a Nurse... I used to work in a facility but now I work with a wonderful family as a Private Duty Nurse. I can honestly say my job makes me happy. There are days that are stressfull but on the most part I have a pleasure and a great joy doing what I do!! I plan to still continue my education to become an RN. This is gonna take awhile but with the drive to suceed and keeping your eye on the goal I believe you can achieve anything at any time in your life!!

Licensed Vocational Nurse

I wanted to be caregiver because it's in my nature to care for others. Since i was young i enjoyed taking care of my grandparents, my nieces and nephews. With the elders, I enjoy helping them, listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I love to laugh with them, taking care of their needs. The word "thank you" from them means a lot to me. It's not just about recognition but a fulfillment that i did something good to them. Being apart from my own parents sometimes makes me feel sad and so when I'm with my patients I make sure that I take good care of them because it's like caring for my own parents too. It makes me feel good when i make them feel comfortable and well taken care of coz that's really important. Sometimes our elders may not need the most intelligent person but rather they need to be surrounded by the people who can truly care for them and can patiently understand their needs especially when they are not feeling good. I am proud to say that for just 2 years of being a caregiver i believe that I able to serve well my patients and their families. With my honest, true and sincere dedication to my work, I know somehow i did a great impact to their lives in a good way. I believe that it's not how long you been a caregiver but it is how you value your work and your patients. I eventually became an LVN coz i know i can help more if I learned more.

What makes me a great LVN as I keep my patients first and I step into the shoes in order to best assist them. I love being a LVN because I first wanted to be a doctor realize maybe I didn't want to go to school for that length of time so I just try nursing and I've loved it ever cents. I really enjoy seeing my patients happy and relieve the pain.

At a real young age, I started taking care of my Aunt who is wheel chair bound with multiple sclerosis. I did so not only because I love her but because I also enjoyed it. I did not care to get paid. I enjoyed helping her maintain her apartment, having good conversation, and assisting her in whatever way needed. She would always say I would make a good care giver. She always enjoyed my company as I did hers.
