I am naturally a service oriented person so being a caregiver works well for me and the families I serve. I have given care to my mother durning her last days and truly honor that process. My experience with others have been from companionship to dementia to extensive care. I have a warm, friendly disposition that makes me patient and helpful. My passion is to make another human as comfortable as possible in their current condition wether it's helping them to the doctor, cleaning their home, cooking nourishing meals or just enjoying the day with them. I feel the most in my "purpose" when I'm caring for another.

I am a transfer student at the university of Houston. I recently just moved to Houston tx from California. I have been a caregiver for a little over 3 years, and I enjoy helping people. I am patient, kind and friendly as well. I started caregiving at the age of 16 with my grandfather and I have been working with agencies ever since then. Hi I'm Laura im 25 andeven though that may seem young I have an old soul so I act a lot older than I am. When it comes to working I take my job very serious and am passionate about what ever I do. I love to see others smile and love to help out in anyway I can for it is what keeps me humble. I'm a great caregiver because I know a lot about becoming healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. And can provide companionship as well as cook, clean, and provide exercise workouts with low impact or high. If I am not fully educated or experienced in a certain need for a patient I am a quick learner and would not take long to become or learn whatever is needed of me.

My name is Alyssen and i am 20 years old. Ive been a caregiver for about 3 years now. I started caregiving with my grandpa and my great great aunt. I decided to become a caregiver to help more, i love to help people and i understand how hard things can be at times. Also having a caregiver makes it easier on the family to know that they're loved ones are taken care of. I enjoy helping out. I help cook, clean the house, bathe, get dressed to go out or just around the house. I can drive to pick up groceries if needed, i can keep track of medications and other things that are needed or required from a doctor.

I became a CNA because I absolutely love to help people and this I feel is one of the best ways to do that . I enjoy making any client feel that they're important too and that their needs matter .

I am a people person with compassion for others. I am a caretaker by nature. My grandmother had Alzheimer and I spent a lot of time with her during her struggles. I believe that sometimes seniors just need someone to listen and know that they are still important and relevant. I've worked in the retail world for years and have dealt with many older folks and really enjoy talking with them and listening to their stories. I do not have any formal training or experience working with seniors but I am capable and confidant that I would be a great companion and caregiver!

At the age of 12 years old I started babysitting for a neighbor that has Two kids, a girl and boy. By the age of 17 my first job was at an elderly nursing facility. I went through a year of training while working in the facility and earned my CNA. I decided that I rather my mother be cared for or I care for once I'll and never in a facility. A few years later that is exactly what I did for her two years. Now she has a nurse that comes in the day and a relative cares for her when the nurse doesn't. worked at kidango as a preschool teacher aide for ages 0 to 5 years old. I know what it's like and I am happy to lend a hand or two to take the stress and anxiety away.

I love helping and being there for people. I became a caregiver to get a feel of what it's like to be a nurse and ended up loving working with the elderly. I enjoy being the person of contact when help is needed.Caregiving comes with a sense of responsibility and accountability and I like that.I am very proud that I can make a difference in peoples life through a simple but yet important position.

- Client safety is my priority of care. I pay close attention to details in order to provide the best client outcome during my care. I utilize checklists to help me care for clients and avoid medical mistakes. - I am teamwork-oriented and enjoy getting to know my co-workers in order to form professional relationships. An example of my proudest moment is when I was the only one that the client allowed to give an injection. This particular client was a challenging one because they would refuse most of the care from other providers. However; I was able to get through that obstacle by being a good listener and providing empathy to build trust between me and them. To be able to get through to someone is a humbling achievement.

My goal as a caregiver is to understand my client's needs. Each person is different in personality, physical abilities, life experiences, etc. It is my job to learn and adapt to each person and provide the quality care they deserve.
