I have Grandparents who are 88 and 90 years old. My Grandpa has had many surgeries on both of his knees. My Grandma has dementia and type 2 diabetes. I have been taking care of them for a long time. I am energetic, I love helping out anyone who needs help, I am organized, caring, and trustworthy. What attracted me to become a caregiver is how the little things can make someone happy. Such as being a companion to someone, a lot of elderly people love to talk and I enjoy listing to their stories. I also like organizing and cleaning, I am very good at it. I enjoy making people laugh and smile and feel good about themselves. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating high school and going into college and not giving up. I just keep on going and I work hard.

For the last 5 years I have been caring for my mother in law who is 89 and has dementia. I am with her 3 days a week . While I am there I make sure she takes her medications, cook and clean for her, take her shopping and to any doctor appointments she may have.

Hello, I'm Lauren, I'm 22 year old female and have been working as a caregiver for 3 years. I love to be a caregiver because I love to help others who can't fully help themselves feel good about life. I really love the one on one care and work I do with all my clients.

I am a caring, reliable person who enjoys driving people to appointments and doing light house work and gardening. I took care of my grandmother for a year or so before she had a severe stroke and had to be put in more professional medical care. Also, I took care of both grandfathers before they passed away, mostly companionship and house cleaning, but keeping their spirits up and minds engaged was a daily task for a long time. My partner, Chriss Robinson (a professional musician), is also available for maintenance work around your home and is quite a caring individual as well. He did elder care for John Duarte, of Martinez, for many years until his death. We are also active in helping at the VA hospital in Martinez as volunteers. The gaps in our availability reflect our other commitments to Concord High School (where Chriss teaches marching band), and our children, veterans, eastern star, and musical gigs... we are actually available during these times, as needed, with notice. My children are well behaved teenagers who live in the Sacramento area, and I still love to see them on alternate weekends.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am very out going, reliable and kind to others. I became a caregiver because I enjoy making people happy and just being a part of someone's reason of happiness. I am trying to get into a nursing program as i have finished my prerequisites at Diablo Valley College. I have completed my C.N.A. course and have been certified since October 27, 2014. I am a care giver because I enjoy helping others complete tasks that couldn't be completed by themselves. It gives me a fulfilling feeling to know i have helped someone throughout the day. I am proud of the career path I have chosen and wish to further advance on this path to make my contribution towards society and their needs. It gives me great pleasure to assist others when they are in need and I hope to complement those who are already in the field and mentor those who wish to follow the same path.

1. I enjoy working with Seniors, if you sit and listen to them, there's much knowledge & wisdom. 2. Helping Seniors enjoy and keep their independence in their own homes. 3. I helped a former introverted client to open up and make new friends at her ILF. That was a good feeling. : ) 4. I'm a single mom of a 18 y/o daughter whom just graduated from High School and is attending summer school at the local Jr College. I'm a very proud parent. :-D

I have worked with people all my adult life and I enjoy it very much. I have 3+ years of experience providing In Home Care, I took a few years off to care for a family member, but now I am ready to get back to providing care for others. I find caregiving very rewarding and I treasure the relationship that develops between caregiver and patient. Hello Family, I am looking for short term or part time less than 20 hour. This may change depending on the circumstances. I'm a very patient person. I have been a caregiver for a total of 22 years. I love working with the elderly, developing delayed(high functioning only as I do not have training on low functioning people or children, though I am willing to see and understand every aspect of the relationship of the individual and their families on how they work together in their homes). This is as well with every client I would like to meet. I know just a little bit of Arabic and same with ASL as I had take classes in the past. My preferred language is English. My hobbies are fishing, mild nature walks, quilting, writing poems, and photography. I also like long and short road trips. I like art. I love most animals, though I am allergic to cats and dogs. I have worked with clients who have cats. My only thing that would work is to have the air conditioner on to the coldest for me to my duties. With dogs, it depends on their dander, the licks and the texture of their hair. I personally own a dog and 3 geckos. I have two grown children, which are boys. I love to work with the elderly. You can learn so much from them. The elderly are full of beautiful stories from when they were young. I enjoy listening about their pastimes. Seeing the elderly smile when they see you is heart warming. I enjoy being a caregiver because I know I can make a difference in the elderly lives of people. Just by simply being there for them and loving on them is so rewarding. And knowing that they are being giving the best care they deserve makes all the difference. A personal achievement I'm proud of is knowing that through my actions of loving and caring for the elderly as they are family is the one thing I'm grateful to share. I am a very hard working person who puts all my heart into caring for the elderly or anyone who may need special care.

I love a clean work environment, so basic housecleaning work is desirable. I have extensive previous work experience in dealing with the public. I frequently help my parents with yard care, basic food preparation and housecleaning. In my studies, I was a Certified Pharmacy Technician for some years. Taking care of people and their living environments is second nature to me. I'm a quick learner and have an independent nature.

I also enjoy being able to make the clients happy and feel like they still are full of life. One of my many personal achievements i'm proud of , if almost finishing school , staying positive, happy and finding my own love for myself and being able to heal in ways i thought were impossible.
