I am a Registered Nurse currently working with a developmentally delayed individual in his home. I have worked with all age groups in a variety of settings such as in-home care, residential care, skilled nursing, clinics, hospitals, hospice, etc. I have had licensure/certification as a CNA, DA, EMT, RN and have also worked as a childcare provider, restaurant employee and manager/supervisor. I enjoy helping people enjoy their lives as much as possible. I love my children and grandchildren and enjoy living in nature. I have cared for my mother, 2 mothers-in-law, father-in-law, and other people during their last days/years.

I am a very open ,honest and fun person. I can easily adapt and improvise to almost any situation. I have worked in the medical field most of my life. Mostly in doctors offices and hospital settings. It has always been a passion of mine. I have 3 children who have different disabilities so I am capable of taking care of different degrees of medical situations. After raising my children I decided to get into home care. I enjoy working and helping people but also able to spend time with my family .

I became a caregiver when a friend who did caregiving needed someone to cover her shifts. Later some shifts became available so I was happy to continue. I liked being a companion for a very sharp, interesting women. She had so many great life stories. I did light housekeeping, prepared lunch and did things around her house she could no longer do, like cleaning out her closets and going through her piles of mail. We had many wonderful conversations. I also helped care for my mother who had Alzheimer's. I was a hospice volunteer for two years which I found very rewarding. I did Reiki sessions for clients which were profound experiences. A personal achievement I am very proud of is raising my two daughters. They are beautiful, smart and educated. They both married wonderful men who adore them for who they are. I am also the proud grandmother of a sweet boy and girl. They are the joy of my life. I visit them as often as I can. Thank goodness for technology and we facetime call usually once a week. I am semi retired looking for part-time work to supplement my income. I am educated (Master's degree) and worked for a number of years as a computer programmer analyst and then did accounting. I am an avid reader and enjoy all types of music. I love to dance. I am interested in architecture. For my semi-retirement I am investigating more right-brained activities. I was very artistic as a child and want to recapture that. I moved to Tucson AZ in September 2015. I live in the NW section of Tucson (technically Marana) with my husband James.

The desire to help others to obtain proper services regardless of cultural and ethnic background, paired with my education and experience is part of the reasons to be regarded as a great caregiver who takes the time to understand the needs of people. I do have the ability to listen, make an informed and educated decision, take the lead and build trust with dependability and sense of strong commitment to clients and family members. I am a non-smoking female, medical assistant and natural health consultant, with extended experience in-home care for individuals and families, who need assistance for themselves or their loved ones. In the last 20 years I have worked with clients who needed care with Alzheimer’s, MS, memory care, and many other ailments in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area. I have a very reliable and clean vehicle and could drive to appointments, perform light house work, laundry, meal preparation, and overall assistance in the day to day task. Currently I am working on my degree in Psychology and my goal is to work as a counselor with PTSD, MS and ADHD.

Greetings! I am a full time mother of two toddlers. Ive been fortunate enough to stay at home and raise them these past 3 years. I am looking for small part time opportunities to caregive again! I am outgoing, friendly, passionate, honest, and a hard working caregiver. I started caregiving back in 2011, when my grandmother was released from a rehabilitation center and sent home crippled and helpless. I provided 24 hour care. I had future plans to move to out of state, so when that time came, I knew exactly what kind of job i wanted to get into. It was caregiving! I knew it was something I enjoyed and I knew I could do! My favorite part of caregiving, is getting to know my clients on a personal level. I enjoy going out with them, playing games, doing puzzles, and going through old photo albums. I provide care for health and medical needs. I have experience with all sorts medical needs, and can easily be taught.

I absolutely love people and caring for others. It has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. The thing I enjoy most, is being able to be a blessing in anyway I can. I take a lot of pride in my work. The achievement that I am most proud of is when one of my old clients had a stroke and lost movement of his right hand. The doctors and physical therapist said that he would have to have surgery to correct the nerve damage. I didn't except this so I started doing exercises with his wrist and fingers. After 3 months of doing this everyday he was able to use his hand again. No surgery. I am very proud of myself for not giving up on him when others said there was no hope.

Hello, My name is Heidi and I am an outgoing, kind, patient and compassionate person pursuing a registered nursing degree and a new career as a nurse. I am currently finishing up clinicals for my nursing assistant program and will be a licensed CNA as of January of 2018. After my first day of clinicals in an assisted living facility, I knew I would be caring for the elderly and disabled while working my way through school. The work is so rewarding and I feel that I can make a difference in people's lives. I truly love getting to know my patients and find that they can be the most genuine, caring and interesting people I have ever met. I am well educated and hold a Bachelors of Science in Biology, an Associates degree in Business Administration, and I have recently completed the classroom portion of a CNA program as well as all of my pre-requisites to apply to RN programs this spring. Besides my clinical experience, I am a mother and the daughter of two wonderful parents in their mid 70's. I have been a caregiver ever since October of 2017 and I love it so much! I am 18 years old (turning 19 in August) and I am currently a student enrolled at Sierra College. Currently, I'm taking the program prerequisites to ultimately pursue my dream career as a nurse. I was looking for more CNA type jobs about a year ago because I recently completed an internship at Sutter Roseville Medical Center where I basically shadowed the CNAs in the Oncology unit, and I got to see what it was really like to work as a nurse/doctor/CNA in the hospital. So I thought to myself why not try caregiving since I loved working with the elderly in the Oncology unit, and honestly it was the best decisions I have ever made. My favorite thing about caregiving is forming connections and relationships with my residents/clients and just knowing that I am making the smallest difference in their life is so rewarding!
