I am a productive caregiver and I'm always making sure that all my patients are good and comfortable and also doing my job better. I got attracted to be a caregiver because of my grandfather he has dimensia and I love helping people who needs help mostly people that has dimensia and also I enjoy helping them and giving them entertainment. I've been working with elderly community since the early part of my nursing career back in 1992. I have worked in multiple nursing homes with years of LVN experiences. Patience and compassion are the traits that I can say I developed working as a nurse for older people. Respect for elderly is instilled by my parents in me since I was young.

Hello everyone! My name is Carter and I am 22 years old. I am a future nursing student as my cohort has not started quite yet! I have a degree in psychology that emphasizes mental health from the University of New Hampshire. Since I was a kid I have wanted to be apart of the medical field as I was born with a skin condition that severely limited my quality of life as a child. With surgery I was able to overcome these limitations! I have since had the ambition to be able to give that same level of care that I received as a child to someone else in need.

I am a fun loving and compassionate caregiver! I get everything done in a timely manner and I have fun while doing it. I've wanted to get into the medical field for a while and my previous job was as a caregiver at a larger facility and I want to move into being a personal caregiver!

As an EMT, I learned the importance of taking care of those in need during critical moments. Often times, the greatest satisfaction came from simply keeping a mother,father, child or grandparent safe and stable long enough for the family to be there with them and hold their hand. The relief I would see on the family's face, knowing that their loved one was being taken care of pays off in ways material things never could. I got into care-taking initially to make some extra income in a way that came naturally to me. Although I was no stranger to the medical field, I wasn't sure what to expect. Now, some time later, I can say that there is a satisfaction in knowing that I am playing a small role in a family's journey to best provide for their loved one. Being called a friend of a nearly 90 year old man who I've know a fraction of that time is something I will most likely always hold dear. Listening to stories of a childhood in a different era, a marriage that spanned over six decades, and the ups and downs of a life lived are all things not easily obtained. As someone who can't stand the sight of others in pain or misery, I look forward to providing compassion with dignity and care with expertise for your loved one.

I am a very patient and caring person. I have a lot of experience with taking care of elders because of my grandma. I did it full-time because my aunt worked all day. I'm interested in becoming a caregiver because I know how lonely they can get and I'd love to help them and make them feel better. I enjoy listening to their stories and knowing that I'm doing my best to make them feel happy. I'm proud of knowing my grandma never felt lonely since we had no family around. I'm also proud of everything I learned while taking care of her because I knew she could count on me. My grandma is 91 so she had episodes of dementia and Alzheimer's, she would especially have panic attacks and anxiety. It really helped being patient and understanding her to calm her down. I have experience with checking their sugar and blood pressure. I would write it down in a little notebook to keep tabs on it. I'd also give her her medicine 2 times a day. Whenever needed, I would put the oxygen on my grandma. I also would bather her, feed her, and give her company. I have taken her to doctor appointments

Having an open mind has helped me become a great caregiver. I have a great grandma who just turned 90 and she helped to realize how important our elders are. Being patience with the resident and just giving them the time they need reassures them you are going to be right by there side. My last job was my first job as a caregiver. It taught me how to work with all different personalities and individually get to know them along with building bonds with my coworkers. A smile really goes along way.

My name is Natalie, I am a 27 year old single mom who is seeking a degree in medical diagnostic. I am a animal and nature lover and take pride in doing what I do and represent. Caregiving came to me when my grandmother became ill and in a recovery center. I was not satisfied with the care she received and how minimal they were to relate any information about the care my grandmother was receiving. So I quit my job and took on the task. It was the biggest blessing to my life and my grandmothers along with manny life lessons. Caregiving provides many different job rolls from being a motivation for those recovering and just need a hand to providing love and peace for those who are tired and scared and can no longer do anything anymore to being help for those who need some relieve from the task of taking care of loved ones. Caregiving brought me many joys, stories and ultimately love and a passion for what I do. My grandmother wasn't taken care of how I would of wanted to be if I was in recovery so I made it a task to give her the best of care till it was her time to pass on and She did peacefully with love and respect. It is my passion to pass that love on to the loved ones of others and then feel loved and respect on the path they are on.
