What makes me a great care giver, is that I take pride in everything I do, I love helping people and making them feel cared for and loved in the process. I chose care giving when my grandmother got sick and was placed in a home. She hated it and lasted one week then I decided to take on the challenge and take care of her. And it was indeed a challenge but was also very rewarding. We became closer then before and I got to give back to her after all the years she spent giving me unconditional love and time. She was a amputee, and wasn't able to walk so it was hard she didn't want to cooperate with therapist and nurses . That gave me the opportunity to learn and help her feel comfortable doing exercises together, and all the other things that came along with it. She Began to get better and stronger and was happier. why Care Giving? Because everyone deserves to be respected and cared for even when our own family's are busy , I love being able to do that. I am a single mother, and a student pursuing a degree in MDS, I Am working to help others and my career I am pursuing is just that. I look forward to all the roads and challenges ahead and cant wait to help someone's Loved on like I was able to help mine.

My name is Isabelle, and I have always been interested in the health industry. I am a very compassionate and empathetic person, so helping those who need it has always been something I have enjoyed. I recently became a CNA and am excited to work my way up the health team. Being a caregiver has always sounded exiting because it's such a enlightening career. Taking on the Caregiver role isn't something I woke up one day and decided to be. Instead, care giving has been an innate instinctive part of my character. I've always had a tender heart towards anyone in need for as long as I can remember. The internal feeling of giving, helping, others in need is a treasure in itself. There are special challenges Caregivers experience throughout life and with each individual patient. Personally, my biggest challenge and achievement I've encountered is being a patient advocate behind the scenes despite the consequences, and not just in front of the scene with the patient. Being an advocate in my eyes shows leadership skills by standing up for what's legally, morally, and ethically right for everyone's well being; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Despite this recent achievement costing me my job I've gained in return confidence, professionalism, leadership skills, ability to problem solve and collaborate in a teamwork manner, as well as demonstrate care and respect despite disagreements. Given the circumstances of the situation, an extreme case of cross-contamination to all patients and staff due to my employers (small naturopathic office) refusing to utilize sanitary precautions of any sort, my leave was still on good terms. Due to the medical field highly valuing sanitary precautions I pray my actions are respected and considered of worth. I have always injoyed working and helping people. I have spent my life in the nursing field, well over 40 years. I have worked for the acute hospital 23 years ,at Hemet, a hospice unit 6.5 years , Odyssey, & Home Care provider many years.
