I make a great caregiver because I enjoy helping others and I feel like accomplished something good that day... when I was young my great grandfather raised me and I was the three generation when he passed away I knew I had to keep doing it because I loved it so much it doesn't even feel like I'm going to work sometimes

I am a caregiver because being a caregiver is the most fulfilling job in the world. It is better to give back to the community and care for those around you. I became a Nursing Assistant in 2011 and have since been pursing my passion to become a Nurse. On October 2017 I finally graduated nursing school as an LVN, God is good! I want to start helping more people around my community and not just in the hospital. My goal is to keep my clients as clean, healthy, and happy as I can. Whether it be driving to appointments ,medication reminders, or even cooking; I'm able and willing to do anything. I hope that I can at least help and be of some relief to someone who is looking for respite.

I've worked with adults and children with disabilities for over 14 years. This field is not meant for anyone and those who it's meant for have stuck around in the field. I love helping others and seeing the accomplishment of individuals that I help. I love what I do, I'm patient, knowledgeable, caring, kind, CPR certified, family man, great personality, great work ethic, get along great with staff and individuals and willing to learn and grow in the job field. I'm a husband and father of 2 great children (14 & 3) and I would say that is my greatest accomplishment loving and parenting my kids and watching them grow.

I have been a caregiver for the passed ten years and love it. It all started when both of my dad's were being scam and taking advantage. I help take care of both of my dads before they passed away. I have a Criminal Justice Degree and have no criminal record. I love working with elderly people because they are very wise and I have a lot of patience. I treat them like they are like my own family and that's hard to find these days.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and i am 24 years old. I an married and have two children, Joseph and Jasmine. I started caregiving at age 19 and am really enjoying being a caregiver. My love for helping others and caregiving started as a little girl, i would watch my mom who has been a caregiver for 30+ years and knew that i wanted to be just like her. I love to help people and the satisfaction i get is, knowing that i'm making a difference in someone's life and helping them to be as independant as possible while giving quality care and some confidence back to them. I feel as though my years of experience and learning from other great caregivers, CNA's and nuses have helped shape me into who i am today. I am currently in the CNA program and am working towards obtaining my license to better help more people in the future. My ultimate goal is to become a RN and make my family proud. I am a 23 year old college student taking online courses. I have been in the cargiving field for 7 years and has always been my passion. Through out the years I've cared for clients with a wide range of health conditions. I am verry familiar and experienced in clients with diabetes, mobility assistance, cancer/chemo, mental health, stroke, parkinsons, Alzheimers, autism, and hospice trained. To me it is humanitarian and compassion so i will know what will happen to me in my old age. its really fun taking care of them you can see thier daily modes esp. the emotion the either happy or sad. it changes every day and that you will learn the aspects of caregiving.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that, I treat the ones I care for as if they are my family. I look at them as if that is my Mother, Father, or Grandparent .I started as a young girl always wanting to care for my grandparents .As I became am adult it is still with me .I've cared for both my parents as they were extremely sick until my father passed. Knowing I was the one to care for him to give him all his needs is a priceless feeling. It brings me joy knowing I am the one to care for their needs, make them laugh, or just sit right next to them knowing I am right there for them. Just to see smiles on their faces is priceless.

I chose to become a caregiver because I want to make a difference in other people's lives. I believe it is important for people to be able to stay in their home throughout their lives if they so choose. Of course, it takes a lot of care and support to make that happen. Due to my own personal experience loving an elderly mother with severe Alzheimer's, I feel this gives me an insider's perspective as to what people are going through on this difficult journey. I have several years taking care of my husbands grandfather for about 7 years very stubborn man . He wanted to be independent up until a few months before he passed. I cleaned made meals and took to appointments and shopping. Also I took care of my father who had dementia very experiencing few years he went from very mellow to very difficult and extra stubborn and violent. A very experiencing time for sure. Loved every minute of my last year's with both men I loved dearly

A personal achievement that I am most proud of would have to be becoming a CNA/HHA this year.
