I am a fun loving kind girl, I am a good listener, I believe in helping people not only being there to take care of them but to build a friendship with them as well I want my clients to feel safe and happy with me, I love kids and spending time with the elderly I used to take care of my grandma my whole life she was my best friend so I always had to make sure she was taken care of and happy, Professionally I have care gift for two months unprofessionally I took care of my grandma for over six years, i'm good at cooking cleaning reading writing drawing dressing, A personal achievement that I have gotten to was an offer for USC, what are you joy most about being a caregiver is seeing the joy on my clients face when they know I'm there to help

I am an honest, loving, loyal individual. I tend to really listen to my patients & their needs. I take interest in their hobbies- both those in their youth and if today. I love music, especially that of their era and I try to use that to their advantage, so as to bring up happy memories for them. The thing that attracted me most to being a caregiver is taking care of people, and hearing their stories. I've always had a love for people- even as a young girl. My biggest achievement is beyond a doubt, my children. I take great pride in the people they've become from my youngest son, who is 8, all the way up to my oldest daughter, who is 22 and going to become a mother herself, this year.

Hello, my name is Andrew Palmer I am a 25 year old caregiver from Ventura County. My resume holds many positions that I have worked under for multiple credible companies. I pride myself on my hard work, honesty, and compassion for my client. This is not just a job for me, being a caregiver for others and directly impacting their lives in a positive manner is what makes me happy and has been a dream of mine for many years.

I have been a caregiver for over three years. I find it a very rewarding opportunity to help care for others. I am a certified caregiver, recently went back to school to become a CNA. I passed the written portion of the State Boards with a 96% and a 10% on the skills portion. I have current CPR, First Aid, TB test, Fingerprint card. I am a wonderful caregiver who wanted to improve my skills to be better able and more informed and trained for my clients. I take great pride in being able to provide for my clients. I honestly care for them and want to make certain that I am able to take care of their needs in the fashion that they want, and with the same loving respect as I would my own family member. Love to care for people Caregiving is a wonderful oppotunity to share the Love of Christ and to care for the needs of people who need a helping hand. Bringing a smile to my clients faces and helping them to enjoy a good quality of life regardless of age like to take them shopping, to the movies, docotor's appointments networking with other seniors. I have an associate degree in nursing but do not have my license RN. also have a degree in theology working on my Master's degree in theology. currently working at the Lighthouse for Women and Children here in Oxnard as a volunteer enjoy working with people and assisting them with all their needs.

I became a caregiver to make people smile. I love helping people that's what I like the most about being a caregiver. My personal achievement I'm proud of it being able to say i help people. I've been a caregiver for a little girl with down syndrome for about 2 years and I love working with children.

I became a care giver because I don't want anyone elderly or not to be helpless and alone when they have given so much in their life, kids, grandbabies, work, the service. I enjoy the fact that I made a difference in that persons life, weather it be make them smile, spend time or giving them a nice shower. I saved my daughters life at 8. She had really bad stopped breathing on me (asthma) and when I yelled to call 911 it was busy, so I took a couple seconds and started CPR and brought her back. One more reason to help people. I am very active in keeping in shape. I also love spending time with my grandbabies. I have one due her soon.

What makes me a good caregiver is that through previous experience I have learned how to identify potential challenges that may arise. For example, when getting ready for a doctors appointment all my attention should be focused on the patient and watching the time. Sometimes patients have extremely slow moments in which case requires some prompting and supervision to meet the appointment time. Travel must always be considered and the time it takes to travel to the appointment. So getting ready early is a must. I became a caregiver because very simply I care. I treat people the way I expect people to treat me which is through compassion, empathy and professionalism. I also became a caregiver because of the flexible hours and independence while on the job. My personal achievements are I worked 30 years in the workers compensation industry and proud of it. As a caregiver the achievements I believe that are important to me are forming a good trusting relationship with the patient. I've taken care of Alzheimer patients and realize that having a friendship is not always what they need. Patients with Alzheimers need routine, compassion and their privacy. I've learned that letting them know just before I do something like closing the blinds or leaving the room to do laundry helps give them a sense of security.

What makes me a great caregiver is being able to make my resident feel comfortable with me, always staying cheerful and with smiles. Making them feel safe and have belief that they can trust me. The need I have to help out others and care for others that need that extra help in their lives encouraged me and attracted me to be a caregiver. I enjoy being able to talk and share laughs with the residents. A personal achievement I am proud of is overcoming the fear of not being able to change someone's lives. The residents I currently work with always let me know how much they enjoy having me around and that makes me feel great because then I know I am doing a great job at what I do.

I am young and very outgoing, responsible, on time, organized, clean, helpful, caring, friendly, respectful, professional and efficient. I work with people with intellectual disabilities knowing they need help and care as everyone else and now I want to reach out to people who simply need help with all disabilities or people who just need caring for.

I enjoy meeting and keeping long relationships with my clients. I have very good recommendations and reviews as most of my cases have been several years long. I don't feel my clients are a job, they become my life long friends and always carry a piece of each one of them with me when we part.

I've been doing caregiving for over 5 years private in home and in a facility. I like helping people and care about the well being of people. I like doing caregiving as a job because my gained experience have gave me confidence for the work and it makes me feel accomplished helping people. I'm patient, strong, and have a positive outlook and friendly personality. I became a caregiver back in 2008. In the city of Wapakoneta, Ohio, where I lived for a year or so. I worked at a place called Wapakoneta Manor (hospice) for 8 month's, I took graveyard in training to be a nurse's assistant. Classes were in the same building where I worked. I love being a caregiver for many reason's, but the one that I relate to the most is helping those who are in need. I enjoy helping and giving to others who smile in appreciation for your service in their hour of need. keeps me balanced. on many level's. Personal Achievement would be the time a patient came in diagnosed with Aids. He had lost both legs, and was in for another amputation to the arm. no other N.A. 's wanted to clean this patient. So I just jumped in and washed him up. Sad though, because he said that I didn't have to, if I'm afraid to. There isn't much left to wash up anyway, he said smiling at me. A part of me felt ashamed of my thought's for being grateful for I'm Aids free. I would like to achieve some certificates along with a degree at some point in my future in this career. I want my son to be proud of me, as much as I am.

I became a caregiver for the simple fact I love and enjoy helping others that need help it's a beautiful thing to know that you can help those that are in need. I love being a caregiver because I love seeing those that need the extra help happy and not struggling.My personal achievement I would have to say I'm proud of is one I'm blessed to not be selfish and help those that need the help when nobody can or wants to help them , it makes me happy and put a smile on my face as well. I have compassion, understanding and a genuine feel for the others in need. I took care of my dad for 8 years before during and upon his passing with demencia. I too will be elderly someday and hope to find someone like myself to care for me and be there. I talk to the people as a companion and a friend that they are, I work with them and their families to assure their safely and security. i just enjoy my work.

I became a caregiver to provide myself with a foundation to be a nurse. I achieved my CNA and nursing certificate in psychiatric nursing specialty, with pharmacology. I went on to care for HIV /Aids patients and hospice. I have a wonderful calming and caring effect on people and have worked many outstanding cases. I was planning to get my PhD in psychology for psychologist, but I stuck with nursing as I loved it very much. I have worked from NY to San Diego and have been with one company for 20+ years. I went back to school for my BA in education, as I teach special education as well. I am always updating my psychiatric background and love learning. I have many wonderful success stories, including my patient who I was with for 4 years, as his private nurse, care manager and trainer for his caregivers. I work well independently and have great skills. I love to write and my English/Education background has helped me get published. I still write and plan to publish more work. I presently am a music reviewer and article writer for different publications. I am very diversified in skills, education and interests, but I am above all a people person who is dependable, professional, well skilled and well liked.

I am an extremely optimistic, patient, and resourceful individual. I dedicate myself to all aspects of my life. I love getting to know people, and helping others provides me with a great sense of fulfillment.
