I am very caring, patient, competent, and observant, to name a few. I love taking care of people. Helping them do the things that we take for granted make me feels good. I became a caregiver because I enjoy working in the medical industry, and this is one of the most prevalent jobs in this area. The things I enjoy about being a caregiver, is that I get the opportunity to being comfort to my clients; however, I also enjoy the flexible scheduling. One personal achievement that I am proud of, is attending college. I became a caregiver because caring for others has always been a passion of mines. Whether its an infant or the elderly, I enjoy it. I am a retired nurse(worked 40years) 4 years.Worked in hospitals and DR.s offices.Been in the desert since 1983.Looking for part time work.Taking clients shopping,driving to drs offices or just visiting or for companionship etc.

I am a very patient, creative, responsible, and enthusiastic individual with almost 6 years of experience working with kids ages 3-11 in child care, and 4 years working with children with special needs ages 3-21! I am CPR certified. I'm currently an occupational therapy (OT) student, and my passion is to work with children and teens with special needs! Five years ago I was responsible for leading a group of 12 elementary-age boys at a sleep-away summer camp, and I have had 4 internship experiences with children and young adults with disabilities. I am a college graduate with a bachelors degree in recreational therapy, which involves leading and promoting age-appropriate therapeutic recreation activities for those with special needs to gain confidence, a sense of achievement, and quality of life while having fun! Since 2015, I have been working with a young child with autism in his home to further develop play and social skills.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in your attention to detail. I don't want a desk job; you like being physical in your job and using your body as well as your brain. I are seeking a career with growing opportunities. I don't want to invest in many years of formal education but you are willing to learn new skills and take continuing education to do your job well. I feel that when you are older, you'd want someone like yourself there to help you if you need help.

I consider myself to be caring, honest and very responsible which I think helps me a lot in this type of work. My Passion has always be teaching children and helping the elderly as much as possible because they always need that extra attention. Being a caregiver brings me happiness especially when I see the patients/members faces of how they enjoyed the visit or companionship. I am proud of being a young mother to three beautiful children and still having the passion of working hard to makes other feel special.
