After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. I'm very easygoing and light spirited im a great listener and I'm very prompt. The main reason why I became a caregiver is due to the fact that my grandmother passed away due to Alzheimer's Disease I worked with her a lot during that time and I started to love the work I do. I love what I do because at the end of the day I feel I made a difference I helped someone stay home with there family that much longer. I'm personally proud of the work I do I feel as though it makes me a better person in so many ways. My job really makes me happy!

I like to help people and, listening to the person. It all started when my grandmother had a stroke and was not able to care for herself, I helped in the care and recovery, assisting with the exercises to help her walk again . Watching the healing process, bring a smile to people brings satisfaction to my job. There are times when the person does pass on and the family says thank you for all you done and brings joy to their family member in their hard time.
