Hello, I'm Barbara Roberson. I became interested in care giving at an young age of from taking care of family members and special children, I'm a people person and very open minded so it's easy for me to get along with nearly everyone I come into contact with. I'm delighted to say I took care of my mother till her passing on 2018, she had several different kinds of cancer on her death bed and it made me more in tune to my sensitive side of wanting to help everyone feel and heal better. I just love taking care of people it makes me a happier person knowing that they feel they have someone that cares for them.

I want to be a caregiver because I love helping other and put a smile on their face. I love to make a lasting impression and impact on my clients life. I proud of the fact that I can help my clients be at peace and comfort them ( I am about to gradate with my bachelors in Health Care Management. I am a great listener, very orientated, well rounded individual, dedicated, determined and love to make my clients happy even very it seems like i cant make a change I always do.

I enjoy helping others that may need some assistance, I like just knowing that I made someone day a little better for them, when I'm helping someone and they appreciate my help, even though they try their best and I assist them.....just the look on their face say's it all......at that moment Iknow I'm in the right field......or when they go through therapy and get's discourage and frustrated, I try to encourage them and let them know that at this time it seems hard but as you go more it will be a little easier......few weeks later we are talking and laughing about the whole situation...I'm easy going and listens very well, compassionate and caring......I enjoy working in the Healthcare Field, meeting different people of all ages and conditions....

1. I became a caregiver due to my aging grandmother who had dementia and diabetes 2.the number one thing I like about caregiving is the ability to assist individuals back to a happy place 3. A personal achievement I'm currently proud of is accomplishing my Associates degree of science in Audio Technology. 4. I started providing care when I was just a teenager. My grandfather became ill and was diagnosed with cancer. He had always been my hero so of course seeing that he was cared for properly was a given. I am what some people refer to as an old soul, I love to listen to the stories of the older generation and how things were when they were growing up. It's a good way to understand history. In my opinion the world today and the younger generation don't appreciate the lessons and memories that can be shared by the people who lives were a part of the world we live in today. That's why I think my greatest achievement in life is the fact that I still make it a point to be friends with the elderly people in my neighborhood and visit with them as often as I can.

In between working at nursing homes and care for my own parents, I have been attending college online for Business Management in Health care for the last 3 years. I have my associate degree and I am now pursing my Bachelor degree as well. I am a Christian young lady and I love working with the elderly and children.

I worked for Heaven Sent home care for a year and had 3 clients of all different needs including mobility issues, on oxygen, etc. I was to clean thwir house, give medication reminders and be a companion which is one of the mosmost important parts about being a caregiver. I love to play cards, clean and even just talk if you want to. I'm an excellent cook and could definately assist with meal prep. I worked in the restaraunt industry for 5 years so I definately know more than the basics!
