I'm delighted to say I took care of my mother till her passing on 2018, she had several different kinds of cancer on her death bed and it made me more in tune to my sensitive side of wanting to help everyone feel and heal better. I started providing care when I was just a teenager. My grandfather became ill and was diagnosed with cancer. He had always been my hero so of course seeing that he was cared for properly was a given. I am what some people refer to as an old soul, I love to listen to the stories of the older generation and how things were when they were growing up. It's a good way to understand history. In my opinion the world today and the younger generation don't appreciate the lessons and memories that can be shared by the people who lives were a part of the world we live in today. When I was a young girl I used to visit my great grandmother in a Nursing Home. I remember I used to get so upset because she would always be lying in bed with a soiled diaper, food on her face from the previous meal and just neglected. I didn't like seeing her that way. When I was old enough I became a CNA . My great grandmother was my motivation. I devoted myself to learning all that I could about being a CNA and caregiver. Helping others who are ill and in a vulnerable state live the best life they can with dignity is my mission. I worked for Heaven Sent home care for a year and had 3 clients of all different needs including mobility issues, on oxygen, etc. I was to clean thwir house, give medication reminders and be a companion which is one of the mosmost important parts about being a caregiver. I love to play cards, clean and even just talk if you want to. I'm an excellent cook and could definately assist with meal prep. I worked in the restaraunt industry for 5 years so I definately know more than the basics!
