Over the years of working in healthcare, one thing I have learned that helps me to be a great caregiver is showing real compassion through my personality. By having a great attitude every time I work with patients helps to develop better care and understanding of needs. I've been attracted to being a caregiver because of the compassion needed for people during times that they are most in need, and vulnerable. I enjoy meeting new clients and receiving great feedback because it lets me know I am able to make a difference in their lives. One of my personal achievements that I'm proud of is how far I've gotten in my education to become a nurse. It's been a long road but one that I'm proud of.

I am a hard working professional with years of experience in customer service, patient care and hospice care. I am a team player as well as a self motivator and very independent. I have good listening skills, great time-management skills and dependable. I love taking care of people and making an impact on people's lives and I've learned and grown in being a great caregiver. I enjoy the different story's that my clients have shared with me over the years about there lives. I also find comfort in knowing that I can provide care for someone who needs assistance in their home or in a facility providing extra help and comfort. I am proud of my complishments in getting my degrees by working hard and earning them from college. I am most proud of showing my family that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

First of all I went from working in the downtown area of Chicago, very fast paced and very good money to one day my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson disease and at the same time my grandmother with breast cancer and dementia. My grandfather had colon cancer too. They all lived together. I ended up being there caregiver which led me to getting my CNA in which a agency hired me to take care of them so I didn't want them in a nursing home. What makes me a good caregiver is that Im very organized and was willing to learn about their conditions. Being that they all lived together, made it easy to take good care of them in which I moved in too. I was told by many people including the nurses and doctors that I was very empathetic. What I enjoy most of being a caregiver is how it makes me feel. I love to help others because its a feeling of accomplishment. A personal achievement Im proud of is that my mom, gram and gramps got there wish of passing away at home around family.

What makes me a great caregiver is caring for the others whose in need of real help . What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was really me helping my grandmother for years taking care of her making sure that she was well taken care of . The number one thing i enjoy the most about being a caregiver is you get to take the worries out of other peoples hands and i also love the fact that im giving back to my elderly people. The number on most achievement im proud of is making others feel good and like i said i love the fact that i achieve to give back to tbe elderly whose in need of help
