My passion is caring for others and building connections. I work as a resident assistant at a senior living home. I absolutely love my job. Providing care for others is what truly brings me joy. I am creative, fun and diligent. I also am an ambassador at AACC, actively helping in the community. Some of my volunteer work includes facilitating academic events on campus, working events aimed to help those with special needs and running backstage work for my church. No job is too big for me. I'm a good caregiver because i know how i would want someone to care for my family or myself with respect, and being friendly also patient. What i like about being a caregiver is the people i work with and learning new things about the client each day, but most of all the stories they have the most amazing stories to tell and weather we know it or not where learning while helping someone. My personal Achievement that I'm proud of is getting my CMT's cause im a step away from getting my RN license it's a lot of hard work but it's what i like and want to do.

I love people ! I love to talk to them and learn from them and especially older people who can share so much about life. I have worked for 2 wonderful elders for a total of 6 years. I enjoyed getting to know them and sharing some good times. 😃

Caregiver all my life! I am the oldest! To take care of and assist the elders. Watched my once vibrant well traveled organized Shriner member Air Force grandfather diminished before my eyes with diabetes and dementia. For someone who has been skinny all his life be stricken with Diabetes! Lost him in 2009. Uncle Anthony, best friend ten years apart, obesity and congestive heart failure, renal failure in 2011, and my Pop Pop, was never told he was sick until the day before with bladder cancer in January. I am so blessed and honored to achieve the greatness of knowing and loving them for 42 years of my life. Husband and I are military brats, been also caregiving him for six years, married for three. He suffers with TBI sustained since 17 and seizure disorder. Been blessed with a son, whom blessed me with Audrey(Peanut), 8 months. He is also in the military. With a broad set of skills and life experiences, with family and working in the school system with special needs students, feel it prepared me to further work with the older population

I became a caregiver because I love making an impact on a persons life. I love that I can make a major change in a persons life. I love that I can improve their daily living. One of my personal achievements would be that I will be attending nursing school. I am very determined, and focused. I am a mother, and hard worker. I love learning, and helping people.

I wanted to help people and be a patient advocate. I love how I get to intereact with different families and people, I love learning their stories and I love how satisfied it leaves me feeling. I am proud of my skills that I have learned throughout my career path thus far, including IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, respiratory interventions, and CPR.

1. I was an RN for over 20 years and retired about 2 years ago. I am again back into the workforce by choice and wanted to do what I knew about and am comfortable working with people who needed help. 2. I like working and helping people. Most of my career was with the elderly population. 3. I am proud of the fact I went back to school got my RN license while raising 2 children as a single mother. 4. I love animals, My hobby is crochet, and I love to read.

Some of my personality traits are that I'm a very happy bubbly person, I'm very forward and honest ! I love to make ppl laugh and I'm very organized and a clean freak. Why I'm such a great care giver is because I always put the clients/residents needs first no matter what! I'm very considerate of their needs and wants and Im always respectful no matter what situation. What makes me such a great caregiver is I don't just do this as a job to get a pay check. Hi my name is Rebeca St. Louis, and I am 26 years old. I have been a nursing assistant along with a caregiver for over 6 years. I love every day and every minute of it. Ever since I was little up until now I just generally have a heart care for others. Whether they are babies, teens, and the elderly. That is one of the reasons why I became a care giver, to use my passion, and something I really love and turn it in to a career. One of the best things I love about being a careful is by the end of the day or the end of night, how I made that person feel. When I worked at the hospital in Florida, I lacked many skills but every time I came out of a patients room, they were begging the whole staff that they only wanted to see me because I was very caring and for that I was nominated as one of the best techs on the floor I worked on and I felt that was a huge accomplishment for me. I love just caring for people!

I worked mainly for adult mentally and physically challenged and loved it. They need lots of attention especially someone who will listen to them and has their best interest at heart. I loved the job. I loved watching them achieve goals they thought they wouldn't be able to achieve. Some needed personal care and understanding it can be a little frustrating for them as if they could do it themselves they would. They rely on you to be discrete and non judge mental in such a personal situation. I love being a caregiver because it has its own rewards. I like helping others, taking care of others, watching others grow. As far as elderly I miss my grandparents and this is a way to fill that void. They have a lot to offer with their experience and wisdom. Raising two children as a single mother, still working on my AA degree, and my work ethics. I am hard working , understanding, caring, loving and playful. I like to work and try to perfect the tasks at hand. I am working towards a degree first an AA then maybe more. My personality traits and expertise that help me be a great caregiver: Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Being compassion for other's and have an understanding of what the person is going through. Being attentive to the needs and changes that are taking place. By being attentive, I will notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person I'm caring for. Those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that as a caregiver being dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. It is crucial that I the caregiver be trustworthy and will not breach that trust by taking advantage of the person her or she is caring for. I enjoy seeing elderly population living their life to the fullest. My personal achievement is returning back to school at the age of 49 and receiving 3 AA degrees (Human Services, Transfer Studies, Aging Studies and certificate of Addiction Counseling).

I became a certified nursing assistant in 11th grade at Center of Applied Technology North. I've worked in two assisted livings and live-in caregiver in 7 years. I love the feeling I get from being able to help someone.
