I feel I am a great caregiver due to the fact that I put myself in others shoes. I treat people just how I would want to be taken care of. I became a caregiver because it's in my nature to care for others and help those who are in need. The best thing about caring for others would be, the appreciation I feel when someone is so thankful of the care I have given or receiving. A personal achievement I'm proud of is never giving up on my goals and dreams. Goals are hard achievements which has to be hard or everyone would be able to be successful.

Currently I am a Nursing major and the clients that I care for during clinical time are wonderful, however I would like to be able to care for a person longer than a day or two. More often than not, I'm unable to see care through from admission to discharge, which is one of the aspects I wish to obtain in becoming a member of the CareLinx team. My passion for helping others stems from always seeing my mother work hard, even through illness. When I was younger, my mother frequented the hospital because she suffered from heart disease; I was never able to help her do anything because she would tell me I was too young or that she was okay. Looking back now, I realize that she was not okay and I strongly believe that because I was never able to fulfill the desire to aid her in her time of need I have made it my passion to assist others now that I am capable. I am a very patient person and I think that is key when you are assisting those in need. I always try my best to keep my client's focus off of any limitations he or she may have while magnifying his or hers capabilities. In doing so my clients generally express more positivity and they often thank me for actually treating them like a person instead of a duty of the job.

My passion for care first began when I visited my grandma at a nursing home once she was diagnosed with dementia. After spending time with elderly people, I was amazed to learn how wonderful and hilarious they can be. I also realized how much elderly people enjoy having in-depth conversations and telling stories full of great advice. My visit taught me how important it is to offer assistance to those who need it. The visit also taught me to acquaint myself with people who I do not know in the spirit of encouraging and empowering individuals. Providing service to people in need is my passion - I want to help those who cannot help themselves.

I became a caregiver after my grandmother fell and hit her head, No one was there she lived alone and We tried our best as a family to visit often. Being a caregiver is rewarding to me because I know that I'm helping someone live their everyday lives as much as possible. I'm proud that I not only became a CNA but I received other certifications as well. These skills helped me work along side with seniors even better. I'm a patient understanding individual . I'm caring and loyal. But most of all I love what I do.

1.why did you become a care giver? I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right.
