I became a caregiver before I was 18 when my grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer. I care for him until his death. After High School my first job was as a nurse aide because I knew then that I wanted to help people not by administering medication but by letting them know that someone was there for them and I will help in any way I could. I now have a small Home Care Agency (CORRI CARES HOMECARE) in which I go to the home to take care of elderly or disabled individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. I have worked in many areas such as long-term care, Hospitals, memory units, rehabilitation, emergency room and home health. I don't just provide services, I build relationships with my clients.

I have been a certified nursing assistant for about 10 years now, and I love it. my joy is at the end of the day to know that I have been of help to somebody. my grandmother was a nurse and I saw her nurse my great grandmother when she had a stroke and I used to help her with her daily activities and that's when I released that I wanted to do that. Nursing is a part of me . I know that for you to nurse somebody one has to be caring, passionate, patient and above all has to be loving, this qualities have been in me for a very long time. I have three beautiful girls aged 5, 3, and 10 months and they have perfected my skills and qualities. I am also a quick learner, I adhere to the rules and regulations insulted and I am a team player in every way possible. I manage my time accordingly and I don't need supervision to complete my tasks.

I always try to be the best caregiver I can be , because I always think what if this was my sister or my grandma. I love when I come to a shift I don't have to feel like I'm at work,I am comfortable. When working in the past I was working with a dementia patient he wasn't great with names. I walked in one day and he remembered my name. It just made me feel great. day for my shift and he called

I have been in the medical field for 13 years and of those 12 years I was a private duty CNA for the same family for 11 years, my patient passed away last year in May.
