I became a caregiver at the age of 17 helping my great grandmother. I transitioned into the health care field at the age of 18; I've worked in numerous health care facilities and hospice facilities. I enjoy connecting and meeting new souls. My clients often turn into family or friends. This is what makes my job amazing to me. I love and get along with people from all walks of life. I grew up with a disabled mother and from a young age (about 9) had always helped her in care and chores around the house. When I moved back to NC in 2016 after my military service; a friend of mine needed a Habilitation tech and so that's how I got started professionally in caregiving.
