Hello, My name is Janice Ashford. I am a CNA, I have several years of experience working with seniors and disabled adults. I have worked in Nursing Homes as well as private home health. I have experience caring for those with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, Diabetes, strokes, and spinal cord injuries just to name a few. I am comfortable using gait belts, hoyer lifts transferring in and out of beds and wheelchairs. I have a valid drivers license, auto insurance and can start immediately. I became a caregiver because I have always took care of my grandfather. I also use to go to work with a sister when she worked as a caregiver. I love to help the elderly their full of Joy, stories, and need much love. The thing I love about being a caregiver is the bond. I get a bond so quick by just talking to them. I proud of graduating school and that I'm still here. I am a high graduated with some college education, no kids, fast learner, multitasking, organized, clean, respectful. I have a open/flexible schedule. I love to make people smile and laugh.

I am now a caregiver at the church I attend. I am retired and felt a passion and need to give back and assist others. I am proud of want I do because I know I am helping someone with a need where they cannot do it themselves. One of my personal achievement is being on the Board of Director , and the Director of dance at my church. I am proud to part of the decision making and to see our church grow. I create dances and train women and teenagers in creative interpretation dance. We have been ask to dance at other churches and occasionally we are invited ask to perform at different companies. I am a very determined and passionate person, and love people young, middle age, and elderly. I have always in my heart felt that I have something to offer to others love, hope, and a sense of direction. I always see the good in everyone. I am married, have a son and daughter, and 3 step children. We have 6 grandchildren. I am 65 years old however I think and feel as if I am much younger as a result I am very energetic, and a very hard worker. I have worked as a Manager in Customer for the past 45 years and loved my job. As a Customer Service/Operations Supervisor, I am highly experienced in administrative procedures and supervision, I have proven expertise in policies and procedures, implementations, reporting, hiring, training procedures, training , and ,management reporting. I am energetic and self motivated team player/builder.

I love helping people, I have provided this service and dedicated years off and on to helping the elderly. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I took care of my mother for 8 years until her death. I loved that I was there for her and her neighbors family members. I have been a CNA and an MA. I also obtained a Dialysis PCT certification and I have worked for Davita Dialysis for 2 years. I have graduated from Wayne County Community with my Associates Degree and I am currently taking classes for Surgical Technology.

I became a caregiver, because of the patient , fondness and understanding I have toward aging seniors. I love the fact that, I think of them like my own grandparents, how they used to be in their of young days. but all the suddenly, they reach a different stage in their life with all this complication and difficulty to cope. their lives change and needed a caring and patient person to keep them company. However, my 15years experience has brought the best in me. Compassionate, kindness and patient . I feel honored to help the seniors in this chapter of their lives. I will take pride in doing all I can to ensure my client's wellness, comfort, security and safety. As a result, There are so many things i have achieved. but most important one is having a clear mind and a having a good heart. my name is flora owusu. I took the training courses for CNA and central sterile processing. however I will be going back to school, when God's willing to finish where I left off. Am kind, caring, patient, responsible and trustworthy. and I believe all things work will work for me with the will of God, clear conscious and hardworking.

I became a caregiver because I felt that it was a natural fit for my personality.i enjoy being a caregiver because I like to help others and get to know new people.i am proud that I have 16 years experience with caregiving and I have been certified in cpr and first aid as well as dementia care by the Alzhiemers association and Schoolcraft college.

As a small child I have always dream of becoming a nurse, I always loved helping my grandparents and just to see the smile on their face was priceless. Now as an adult knowing that I make a difference with people like just a simple smile or teaching someone about medication really make me love being a caregiver. Being a caregiver is more than providing care but also having empathy for them. My personal achievement that I am proud of is how how I started out as a nurse assistant and climb the ladder to become a nurse. I learn to respect every level of the health field. I currently just relocated to Georgia from Michigan, I am a Licensed Practical Nurse for 8years. I am CPR Adult & Child Certified. I have experience in Nursing/Rehab Center, Hospital and Home Care. I am a dependable, efficiently and competently individual who works well with diverse patient populations.

I became a caregiver because I like taking care of people meeting their needs & making a difference in their lives. I like to be depended on and trusted so they wouldn't have to worry for nothing. At the end of the day, I like to have a feeling that I've helped someone that couldn't completely help themselves and to leave a smile on their face which places a warm feeling in my heart. Over the years my passion has grown tremendously to being a caregiver and has made me grow more mature person and helps me to appreciate life more and more.

My late husband had a double lung transplant and I was his primary caregiver. Both my parent's passed away from cancer. I was able to help care for them. My passion for helping others came from these three. I realized, after they wers gone, I was meant to help other families in need. I am the only one in my home so I am available day or night.

I have been in the Medical Care for 26 years. After graduating I interned at a Pediatric Office for 12 years before going to Geriatric care. I'm loving and treat my patients as family. I love the companionship and relationships I build with the family as well. I'm punctual and have a lot of experience and try my best to make things as comfortable as possible. As you see I have experience in many areas and I'm always up to learning something new. I became a caregiver because I genuinely enjoy helping others. My personal achievement is learning how to draw blood after being so afraid of needles. I am a 47 year old Nurse Aide who loves being a Nurse Aide. I enjoy not only helping my patients, but my co-workers as well. I pride myself on being honest and following through on everything I set out to do.
