Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Starting a new chapter of my life...I recently certified as a Community Health Worker as I truly find meaning and purpose in helping others. Additionally, I am a hypnotherapist and health coach and have found that a lot of my clients are elderly people who are alone most of the time. That is one of the reasons I am interested in being a caregiver for others. I can make even more of difference in people's lives. As for caregiving...I am a mother of two grown boys, was a nanny in France many moons ago, cleaned houses when in high school and am very interested in health and wellbeing. I can sit behind a desk but I'd rather be moving my body! I'm excited to bring my skills and my compassion to people who need it. I really love being a caregiver. It's a chance for me to help someone that is in need or helps make some one happier knowing that someone does care. I have always had a passion for elderly and disabled people. so I love to help them in anyway possible. I started in home care about 7 years ago I have became a med tech and became a manager for a facility which I am really proud of. I push my self to become better everyday in some way.

I'm a down to earth country girl that fell in love with the elderly community. I love to hear stories of things that they experience growing up. Taking care of the elderly is not just a job to me. It's a service from me to give back to them in a since... After all they deserve it. I've been in the healthcare field for a little over 13 years now and I have did both home health work as well as long term care but mainly long term care. Either setting works fine for me.

I am 40 years old. I was an LPN for 19 years. I have been a personal caregiver for the past 3 years. In my nursing career I have worked in nursing homes and in a critical care hospital. I enjoyed both very much but my heart is in geriatric care. I have specialized in caring for dementia patients for the majority of my career. I love taking care of people and take great pride in my work. I have learned a lot while working in the healthcare field but my favorite thing about this work is that you continue to learn new things every day. Each person I care for is different and original in the things they like and dislike and getting to know them is key to being the best caregiver I can be. No matter what I learned in school the best education I could ever get comes from getting to know each one individually and having the opportunity to work with them.

I became a care giver when I moved to NC to take care of my Great Aunt at the age of 22. After going to CNA school and working in hospitals and nursing homes I didn't like that I was not able to spend more time with each patient. That's when I started home care. I have been doing home care for 25+ years. This is my calling.
