I have been a care giver for about 18 years. I obtained a degree in Gerontology, i have enjoyed working with patients/clients/ residents with multiples Dx of Alzheimer's , Dementia, CVA, Substance Abusers, Behaviors, HIV, Mental illness, and Rehabilitation. One of my pride moment was when i worked at Florence Nightingale Nursing Home , I was involved in the committee which led to the opening of modern renovation unit for Dementia .

I enjoy taking care of people and providing comfort for those in need. I have been in the nursing field since I was 18 years old as an HHA, and it gives me great pleasure to put a smile on someone's face. I am now a CNA pursuing my RN degree.

I enjoy helping people I provide care for feel good about themselves regardless of their health issues and their circumstances. I love assisting people with activities of daily living while improving their quality of life I enjoy helping individuals reach their fullest potential and having a good quality of life. I am most proud when providing the clients with the best care possible and when the client is happy with the services I provide.

I became a caregiver because I love to work with the elderly and young children. I especially love to help the elders; I loved my grandparents and still have great memories of them. I love to sit and talk with them and to see the joy on their faces. To hear a resident say to me "if you can't make it, I wish to have no one else but YOU with me" really means a lot to me. I went to school for Business and received a Bachelor's, but realized I was never happy in my job. After trying out in 2013 working with an elderly lady, I realized how much happiness there was to be found in helping her. So much so, I went back to school and received a certificate in Nursing Assistant and took the State Exam and passed/ CNA. It gives me great pleasure to work in Home Care where I can serve, love and respect the elderly. Working in health care facilities teaches you care, patience, love and kindness. These are qualities I have possessed and demonstrated since I was a child, but now being able to apply it every day in the work force is great!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very patient, dependable, caring, I love to make a person's day better even if it's just a smile or the environment. I'm passionate about helping people in any way I can. I take care of my diabetic father all the time who also has lyme disease. I got my certificate in HHA because I enjoy making a difference in peoples lives.

I'm caring, nurturing, compassionate, patient, and reliable. I've always enjoyed caring for others ever since I was a child. I enjoy being able to give others a better quality of life and being able to make an impact in their lives. I am most proud of my college degree.

I am a compassionate person who loves helping the elder population. I have been in a medical environment for the pass 10 plus years. I did a few years of homecare and a few years of working in a medical office. I do like homecare cause I feel more satisfied at the end of my day working one and one with the elderly. Helping them with everyday basic needs and making sure they are comfortable and happy. The thing that I'm most proud of is being there and giving support to a patient in a very difficult time when needed.

I am a person who is compassionate & loving towards individuals who are of senior age & are unable to tackle lives daily duties. After, caring for my Mom for 4 1/2 years I have established an internal appreciation for the elderly.

I have been a care giver to an elderly woman, a man suffering from Alzheimer's, as well as my own parents, who are in the twilight of their lives. I truly enjoy being a care giver. It gives me personal satisfaction knowing I'm helping somebody get back on the right track.

I have been certified as a Home Health Aide since 2012. I'm a responsible, empathetic, caring, considerate caregiver. I have experience in dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease and many other health issues. I normally work as a live in aide or 12 HR shifts. I provide companionship, help with toileting, meal prep, housekeeping, exercise, medication reminder, bathing, dressing, grooming, etc. I love what I do, I have compassion, patience and love for everyone and anyone. I feel I am a very compressive, loving person and friendly, especially to the most vulnerable individuals such as the elderly and children. I've played many activities in my life, but caregiver, is what I enjoy the most. Tolerance, patience and understanding are qualities that are needed to accomplish this task; and I have them.
