Reason i became a caregiver is that my thought of caring for other and i enjoy working in the health field i love taking of people helping them to fulfil there day to day living, at the end of the day putting a smile on there faces is my goal.

I am a mom to 5 beautiful kids. My oldest of the 5 just turned 16 2 weeks ago. 5 years ago she was diagnosed with Type1 diabetes. This has been a roller coaster ride for me and my family. We have come a long way. I had to learn about insulin how to give the insulin and cover her meals with carbs. I had to take a few carb counting classes. Learn how to serve her food in portions. But over all me being a mom is a great job.

Because i am dependable and trustworthy. I was attracted to be a caregiver because i love people and i want to makes a difference. To see a client gets better or be comfortable. My personal achievement that i am proud of is that i have been a caregiver so long that i believe that i am capable to operate an agency.

As a Guyanese woman,, growing up with grandparents I had to care for them... I came to this country and started school to become equipped on how the system goes with being a care giver in the US. I love communicating with people especially my patient whom I always lend a listening ears. Working in the hospital has taught me so much and has me me more passionate about caring for patients and showing them love
