There's nothing any more rewarding than watching your client smile and laugh! There's nothing anymore hurtful than not being able to help a client when you know and see their in pain or hurting. As we age and can no longer drive someone has to be the bad guy and take driving away. It's so hard to take that independence away from someone. I prefer to be the bad guy I'm not the love one. I feel I am a great caregiver because I have all my life cared for ones; beginning with being the middle of seven children I was responsible for caring for those under me and then into marriage; I cared for 4 children. After my divorce I continued caring for my four children at the same time living with my elderly grandmother of 93, who had Aleizmiers and her sister, 88 who had breast cancer. Working closely with different agencies including Hospice, I was able to give them the quality care they deserved for as long as I was able to do so.
