I became caregiver because I've always wanted to work in the medical field. Being a caregiver gives you the chance to show your true passion the work you do and appropriately complete the assignment. I'm extremely proud of getting my CNA in 2007. Now in 2014 going in to 2015, I've went on and finished Surgical Tech school and now attending my 3rd semester in my local community college, studying nursing. I have Vast experiences in different areas of nursing.

I'm a very caring, respectful, and honest person,I enjoy taking care of people and seeing how appreciative my residents are when assisting them. I've always been a helpful person, I enjoy taking care of people who are in need. Getting to know who your taking care of is the best part of being a caregiver, because it gives me more insight on who I'm working with. Being a caregiver has made me more mature and understanding of people.

Hi everyone I have been in the healthcare industry for almost 20 years, o started out as a private home care Aide, went on for my home health aide, got my CNA certification and my surgical technician certification, I've worked in hospitals as a PCA. I took care of my Dad for 4 years who had dementia before his passing last year. This career is very rewarding and able to meet clients from all parts of life is what makes it worthwhile. I am a 42 years old female with over 10 years experience as a home health aide and housekeeping. I am highly skilled in working with people from different backgrounds, empathetic and with a respectful approach towards clients. Some of the duties I am familiar with and comfortable doing are; assist clients to wash or shower, prepare small meals, help clients to eat, make bed and change linens, turn clients who are restricted to bed to avoid pressure sores, take vital signs such as temperature, pulse and respiration, provide and collect bedpans, help clients to the toilet, make sure clients' home is clean and orderly, chat with clients to make them feel less lonely or worried, assist clients with mobility problems; to name a few.
