First and foremost "Do No Harm. The care and services I give to the patient/client is more than if not equal to the care and service I have had given to my parents or any elderly patient/client. I educate patient/client of their medical condition and evaluate all medications they are taking and communicate with their doctors for the therapeutic effect and occurrence of symptoms unknown must be reported for further evaluation by the physician. I am committed to enhance/improve the quality of life in their daily living activities by promoting physical fitness program thereby enhancing cognitive function. Support and promote independency whenever possible. Encourange patient to participate in family affairs and gatherings whenever necessary. The help that is needed by a patient/client specially the elderly are of an enormous task that can only be given by a caregiver on a one on one basis. Special attention must be given methodically. The accomplishment of improvement in the giving of care to the patient/client is the best reward that you can ever get as a caregiver. My personal achievement which I am very proud of is the manifestation of my hardwork in prolonging and improving the quality of life of the patient/client.
