My passion for the helping others has led me to this field and has kept me here for over 10 years now. I've been fortunate enough to work with a multitude of diverse populations and environments, and this has allowed me to strengthen my skills such as communication, patience, loyalty and reliability. There's nothing I find more rewarding than knowing I am making a difference in the world by helping those in need. I truly enjoy working with people and having that one-on-one interaction with others, and this job allows me do that just that!

I am a personable caregiver. I am not all in for the job title or the money I like to get to know my clients and for them to get to know me as well. I am in love with the concept of creating longevity and helping individuals to age gracefully and peaceful. The most enjoyable part about being a caregiver is genuinely helping and allowing people to stay healthy within the home. I am proud of being a graduate from The Pennsylvania State university and now attending Thomas Jefferson college of nursing with hopes of doing anesthesia eventually.

I am an adult Female that has a good listening ear. I take initiative and I am physically active and strong. I have empathy and I like to put myself in my clients shoe and assist them as I would wish to be assisted, no matter the situation or the circumstances. Even if only to make them smile. That way I feel good that I have assisted and I have accomplished something today. I naturally like helping people and giving them a hand, leaving a person in a better situation than how I found them. For example, I once found a client, depressed and a year long in a wheel chair. Everyday I would encourage her to take a step, even if one. After six months of this practice; she ended up having leg braces and was walking with them plus a cane. No longer in a wheelchair. This is just one of the many achievements, over the years, that I am proud of, in helping different ages, and people from different population, achieve.

Hello! I am a mom to two adorable kids. I have been taking care of them nonstop but the "baby" went to school full time this year! Talk about a life change. I am a caring person and taking care of people is what I know and what I do best. When my Gram was alive, I enjoyed building puzzles, coloring, and listening to her tell stories of her youth. I also love to shop, run errands, and do housework. Whatever can help make your life easier is my pleasure. I also have a Bachelors degree in psychology and I have a level 1 fingerprint clearance card.

I have great attention to detail and care about the well-being of others. My goals are to provide the safest care of my capabilities. The thought of being able to help others live a fulfilling life has attracted me to be a caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the joy and happiness on the individual's face. A personal achievement I am proud out if becoming a PTA so I can further help the community.

I've had experience in taking care of my grandparents and realized how much of a help I was, I enjoyed it and knew I was good at it I also want to prepare for my nursing career and I know this would be a great start to that. I'm very sweet and considerate and enjoy doing activities! A personal achievement i am proud of is being able to get myself where I currently am at in my life despite the challenges I went through throughout my life.

Compassion, although it comes naturally, I have continued to cultivate it in my personal and spiritual life. Nothing makes me happier than to know I have in some way made the life of others, more comfortable, bearable, dignified. My first observation of healthcare was in the family setting observing, Mother, and Aunties attend to the needs of those family members who were advanced in age, disabled or in distress just seemed like a natural thing to do. At the age of 14, I volunteered as a "Candystriper." even though I was personally terrified of blood, needles, and that medicinal hospital smell. I love using my education and experience to help clients and their families through difficult times. My proudest moment was successfully completing my Nurses diploma in 1986, graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, on the Dean's list.

I'm a mature, patient, loving , honest, reliable, hard working woman. I care for a grandchild one day a week and would like to do more with my free time. I taught Special Education for 7 years before having a 35 year career with IBM. Since retiring I have worked in retail and finance but stopped to care for my grandson. I have the time and energy to help make a senior's life easier.

About me: I recently moved to the area to start my new career as a Financial Professional and am missing the more personal relationship one gets from providing care. I am super upbeat, love to laugh, and am a great listener. I also am calm and collected in times of stress (I have experience with seizure patients). I love just talking and playing games and building a relationship with my clients--they become more like family! Experience with care: Throughout high school and college I had the privilege of nannying for two families, as well as, baby-sitting for a few more! The one family I nannied for included a little boy who was 7-8 years old with special needs as well as his younger sister who was 5-6! The other family I nannied for included 3 children ranging in age from 4-10! One family that I consistently babysat for included 4 children ranging from 2-9! In addition, I also am the oldest of 5 kids and helped with various children care opportunities through my church! Although I do not have a ton of experiences with caring for seniors I am eager to gain it! I have volunteered throughout the years at a few nursing homes and have experience with my Grandfather who was hard of hearing and prone to falling and a Grandmother who had dementia. I believe that seniors hold so much wisdom and experience and would love to just sit and chat with them all day--listening to their life stories is something that I cherish. Important to note: I am looking for either a long term solution for evenings and/or weekends or a short term solution for MWF anytime of day.

I love helping others. I'm a very kinda and giving person with a positive attitude! I'm big on cleaning and food prep. I love animals. I'm a big help around the house.

I suppose you can say it all started when I was a kid; I loved helping people and doing things that made others smile. You can say I get it from my mother; big heart, selfless, and she always wants to be a good person, to do the right thing. I want to do the right thing, to be a great person, to care for others and give them something they cannot give themselves. I have been a caregiver, hospice worker, and medical provider for over ten years. I have first aid, CPR and EMT training. I have worked in both home and professional facilities. I have worked with Alzheimer's, Dimential, physically disabled, quadriplegic, Geriatric, Mentially disabled, Autistic, TBI, Hospice, and temporarily disabled individuals.

I have been in home care for over 6 years now. I have extensive experience. I think part of what makes me a better care giver is that I always try my hardest and no matter how long I've been doing this, it never gets tiresome. I've never encountered a situation where I didnt care about someone like they were my own family. That matters.

What makes me a great caregiver? I have always felt a special kindred relationship with the elderly and disabled souls of our society. Perhaps it was grandmother Foley that instilled in me this value, for she was such a kind and loving person, and I the eldest of all her grandchildren (11) was the first to be bathed with her goodness. I also view every person I meet as a unique and blessed creation of God, and love experiencing those individual nuances He graced in each and everyone of us. Why did I become a caregiver? I believe I became a caregiver at this time in my life, because I feel I am drawn to give back to others as they have given to me as we are to do for one another for the glorification of our Creator. What do I like about being a caregiver? I enjoy the ability to help others with tasks that they themselves may have difficulty conducting, and I love to glean from them the gift of wisdom that they hold, gained over the many years they have lived their own lives. What are the personal achievements I am most proud of? I am most proud of how my two adult children have turned out. My son, Greg, is a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corp and is currently at Quantico and has next a contract to become a pilot, and my daughter Laura Beth, married a very nice young man, and she is an aspiring film producer with National Geographic TV in Washington, D.C.

I am compassionate, high sense of empathy. I am detail oriented, fast learner, very clean and organized. During my undergraduate career I worked as a LifeLink Student Mentor. A student mentor is usually a college student who accompanies young adults who suffer different disabilities to college classes, help them take notes or anything they may require help with. The program was designed to help those young adults experience the college atmosphere after graduating high school. I have also worked with senior citizens, kept them company, prepared meals for them, gave them medicine, cleaned their houses, helped them bathe and change their clothes. What attracted me the most, is all the different personalities I met, all the stories and wisdom individuals shared with me. I got to experience the world through their eyes. For example, when I worked as a student mentor, I did not realize there is adults and college students who did not understand disabilities and were so ignorant to laugh at them. I never imagined people can be so cruel, but I was happy I was there for them to protect them and defend them. It broke my heart when I first experienced such ignorance. The achievement I am proud of most, which I don't think was very special, is getting accepted into Pennsylvania State University. I came to the United States in the year 2005, I came from a country where I wasn't taught English. I was able to teach myself English, I excelled in my high school that I was the only student who is getting paid to tutor other ESL students in Math, I made honor roll in the first semester. I got an outstanding grade in my SAT that got me into PSU with scholarship fully paid. So, this is about, I hope it wasn't too long or boring. Looking forward to meeting and working for you.
