I became a caregiver because I am compassionate towards people that are in need of personal care. I find joy in being a caregiver because it makes me feel good to help others and to know that I did something positive for society. An achievement that I'm proud of is graduating high school. Hello, my name is Trista Segura and I enjoy helping others to be able to achieve goals that without a caregiver they would not have been able to achieve. I am kinda of a jack of all traits. I am a fast learner and would make an essential asset to any company or family. I helped my dad take care of my mom who had a giant brain aneurysm that they found in 2009 and when they went in for the surgery they tore one of the arteries and had to cut off the blood supply from her brain for over an hour. Then she pulled her breathing tube out and aspirated. Between those things she had a stroke on the left side of her brain and was paralyzed on her right side and had aphasia from 2009 to 2015 when she passed due to cancer. Now just 3 weeks ago my dad had a massive stroke on his right side of his brain and is paralyzed on his left side. Carelinx Caregiving is the way we can be not only a blessing to my family but yours as well!

I became a caregiver to give back to those who have given so much to the community already. what I like about being a caregiver is that it takes so much of you to give to someone else that you were so appreciative of everything in life. When you when you go in and you help them with simple things that aren't so simple today and then it opens your eyes to a whole new world you think I can't be doing anything else but this.

I am a positive, upbeat, and cheerful person. I have always loved being able to help people and love to interact with people. I am a great listener and aim to please! I'm very patient and always willing to adapt to a situation. I haven't had a lot of experience in Home Health, but I have had almost 10 years experience in childcare and am use to a busy schedule.

What makes me a great caregiver is my kind heart. I love helping others in need. My grandmother developed al'z when I was younger. Before she became ill and passed; we were always together. She ran errands, grocer shopping, any and everything I was there. I also have a heart for children.. and my neighbor she is an elderly woman whom has fallen and hurt huer back. She has been in and out the hospital so much I lost count. But I have this emptiness inside and I never thought of actually wanting to get paid to care,... But my passion is people and caring for the ones whom need that emotional support and to watch over them and protect them. I am always thinking of others before myself. I have many people (references) that could say the same. I'm pleased to say that I have a lot of energy and have so much to give.

Being a caregiver comes natural to me. I have always loved and felt urged to care for others. My desire to be a caregiver was really sparked after becoming a round the clock caregiver for my grandmother. I understand exactly how hard it is bringing someone into your home to care for your loved ones. I feel like I possess the following traits that help be a great caregiver. Empathy and compassion. I am a compassionate and caring. I love to cook, clean, and help others. I watched both of my grandmothers carr take for many people during my childhood. The ability to help someone in need is very heart warming. I am proud of my ability to communicate and collaborate to make things easier for myself and others.

I have been a CNA for 15 years. I am currently taking night classes at Amarillo College to become an RN. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is, getting to be a person that my residents can count on and feel they can trust. I've worked in a nursing home, a hospital, an assisted living facility and I've done home health.

I have 17 years experience doing this job in all types of settings. I love helping others and being a caregiver I get to do that, so I say it is hardly work if you love what you do!!!
