I enjoy spending time with my patients and getting to know them while working with them. I love teaching them new things or help them relearn the basics after and illness. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing my patients make progress.

I come from a family of health care professionals as both my parents are nurses and so are my siblings. The one thing I think is important is treating my clients as a person. Many people overlook the fact that because people have diseases or can't remember who they are that this person is still someone. I make sure that I keep my clients mentally happy and physically healthy.

I have worked in long term care, hospital setting on surgery unit and home health care as well. I cared for two of my grandparents in home. I was responsible for the full care of my grandfather with Alzheimer's including meals, hygiene, transportation and companionship. I am very loving and sympathetic to all elderly persons. I have worked in the greenhouse/nursery industry the past four years but I feel the desire to help elderly any way possible. I am looking for a full or part time caregiver position or possibly hospice care.

I was motivated to be a caregiver because I helped take care of my grandmother who has Alzheimer's. Ever since then. I have really enjoyed taking care of the elderly people and ensuring that all their basic needs are met. The most thing I love about being a caregiver, is when I get to form that bond with my clients after getting to know them and just the fact that they really grow fond of me. My personal achievement I am proud of, is being promoted to the Lead Home Health Aide in my current job. I am originally from Nairobi, Kenya. Came to America to further my Education and make my life better and successful. I have been working in the Senior care industry for 4 years now and I enjoy my job. I became a caregiver because i know one day i will need that kind of help and i would like to get the best help that i can. So i try to give the best care to the best of my ability. I like putting smiles on my residents face, and learning interesting things about them that can help me care for them. I am proud to be an independent 20 year old still going to school and working at the same time. I lived in California until i was 15, which i then moved here to Amarillo, Tx and i love it here.

Hi my name is Tracey, I've been a caregiver for over 10 yrs. I've always none I had a Love and passion for caring for people at an early age. Growing up you could say I had an old soul. Being a caregiver the rewards of caring for someone is simply beautiful and it takes a special person to full feel the needs of a person who is wanting a peace of mind on there journey home. I believe our elderly family members holds the key to our lives. My recent client I provided him with overwhelming joy, he was diagnosed with FTD. While I assisted him with everyday needs I also became his voice to his wife when times had began to change due to the disease, not only did I become that but I also became his body movement also due to not being able to stand and walk on his own. Yes there are canes, chairs etc.. available but his condition I watched, learned his habits, and I grew with the disease he had, but any object that he came in contact with was another story, he was a true joy to my life and I was honored that the Lord himself lead me to the Morgan family. I've also recently just opened my own care home within this last month so not only am I looking to come to love ones homes i'm also looking for clients to care for in my home. Caring for people is a gifted that some don't have, but finding a right caregiver who has a passion for a loved one is possible because i'm one of them.
