I am CPR train, food handling trained, and also I have training in fire safety and behavior de-escalation with that I have a passion for helping/ aiding people hence why I'm also attending nursing school to further accomplish my goals. I am truly a caring and compassionate person. I always put myself in other people's shoes and treat them the way I want to be treated. I become a Caregiver because I have the need to help others on a close base. I know there are a lot of people that need close attention from someone that will care for them and see them as a true human being not just as another person. I have work for a pain clinic for over three years and it breaks my heart to hear patients' stories saying that they live alone and have nobody to watch over them. Some others say that they have difficulties getting up from bed or move around. I would like to be able to help this people and maybe sheer them up a little or just be able to hear them and understand. Also, I been trying to find a job that will make me feel good and appreciate of what I do. I want to prove myself that I can do better and earn a better paid. It's very difficult now days find a job in the field that I want to work for and one of them is taking care of people. These is one of the reason I want to be a Caregiver. In the past I have worked as a babysitter and substitute teacher. I enjoyed both of these jobs, now I want to tryout with grown ups and be an enthusiastic and energetic caregiver.

I am a very easy going caregiver. i am very patient and soft spoken. what attracted me to be a caregiver is I grew up in a country where we believe seniors are to stay home and be taken care of instead of going to a nursing home. so I took care of my grand parents and made them as comfortable as I could in the comfort of their own homes. what I enjoy mostly about being a caregiver is I love seeing people that I care for smile, it makes my day every time.

I'm currently a nursing student. I have one year left ( May 2018) before I receive my bachelor's degree. I became a caregiver because i love to care so people whom can not care for themselves anymore. As a child i watch my mom care for my grandmother and that was my inspiration to begin my career as nurse. I've been a caregiver for about a year total. I took a CNA course when I first graduated high school not knowing what I was really wanting to do for a career. Once I started clinical I fell in love. Hi! My names Alexa and I am a senior nursing student at UT Arlington. I love being a home health aide due to being able to have that one on one time and special bond you don't always get in the hospital setting. I have 2+ years of being a patient care tech on the med surg floor at Methodist hospital as well as a post partum patient care tech at JPS hospital Fort Worth. I have 2+ years experience as well in the hospital setting from critical care ICU floors to the PACU and labor and delivery and more. I have been lucky enough to have become a home health aide to two amazing people one patient who has cerebral palsy and was a total care patient to my current one who simply needs help with medications and preparing meals.
