I am a good caregiver thanks to my seven years of experience and the appreciation I have received from previous clients. I became a caregiver because I love helping and listening to others. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than making people around me happy. I feel like there are too many sorrowful things out there and every moment should be lived with as much joy and happiness as possible. I am a vocational student graduate and plan to further my education in the near future.

Caring for others has always been a passion for me. It started with caring for family then for others. I decided that I wanted the professional skills to care for others properly so I enrolled in school and became a Certified Nurse Aid in 1997. I am a great provider because I’m trained beyond the basic care skills. I completed my degree in Mental and Social Health-Human Service, Chemical Dependency, and Community Health Worker. These skills and observation helps me to assist clients and families and tailor care according to client’s needs. Finding compassionate, dependable, skilled care for my family was a hard task and it motivated me to be that and more. I have given many families/clients a peace of mind throughout the years because I cared for them and their loved ones like they were my own.

I have been caregiving for over 25 years, I am a Christian woman, blessed with the gift of providing care for the elderly. I love what I do and enjoy it very much. Most of my experience has been gained from taking care of elderly couples. Some personal information: I enjoy fishing, sports, reading my bible, and spending time with my grandchildren. I also have plenty of references.

I have over 12 years experience working with special needs children and young adults. Over the years, this job has made me grow to be more compassionate, understanding, patient and empathetic to what one could be growing through. Caregiver has its rewards especially when you see a client progress well in health due to your input. One of my personal achievement is, I set a goal for myself to graduate within a year and I did it!! I believe with everything in life, you have to be determined to put the effort. Which also relates to care giving, you have to love the job in order to give your 100%. People depend on us to care for them but it has to begin with a positive attitude.

I am a Compassionate person I love working as a caregiver been doing it for 5+ years and learned a lot doing this time such as disturbing medicine, light housekeeping, meal preparation, login blood pressure etc. I enjoy helping other people I enjoy putting a smile on my clients faces bring joy to my day and job. I am a fast learning and also love learning whatever I need to better help my clients with their every needs.

I love helping the elderly, I just enjoy helping people. I am compassionate, understanding, very patient, trustworthy, I treat people the way I would like to be treated. My personal achievement I am proud of is giving my kids the life I never had.

1. I became a caregiver because I love taking care of the elderly. I have been doing this for about 27 + years. I love making a difference in someone's people's lives. It is very rewarding. In most cases you are their eyes, legs, hands and so forth. Most times you are their family. I feel really good at the end of the day. 2. I like that I was able to do what my patients weren't able to do for themselves. I liked making their lives a little easier. I really liked giving of myself. 3. I worked as a CNA/Rehab Tech. I was promoted to supervisor over the Restorative Aides. I worked closely with the Therapist in assisting my patients with exercising, gait, transfers, splinting, weight, and so much more. We had a patient that hadn't walked in over a couple of years or so. She was in my exercise program. I included music with the exercises. They like this. My patients began to improve tremendously. They were doing things that the staff and even their family members hadn't seen. This particular patient began to want to walk. She began to want to go to the bathroom, pick out her clothes, and then she wanted to go home. She made a tremendous improvement. They actually had to call her doctor to get reevaluated and discontinue the restraints. She got so well that she didn't need any assistance so far as walking, dressing, feeding and going to the restroom. She still had her dignity. It was amazing. At first the aides were upset with me.
