I officially obtained my CNA certification since 2008. For nine years now, I've gone above and beyond for those under my care. Not only do I take vitals, change clothes and help my patients feed and bathe themselves, I also take long walks so they can reminisce about their youth with someone who will listen. I believe that human and compassion is my primary duty on the job, and I strive to embody that philosophy every day. In terms of your job requirements, I can cook, clean and launder with ease. Even if I don't know how to do something, I've yet to meet a task that I couldn't complete. Once I rolled up my sleeves and set my mind to it. I'm also quite independent, so as per your requirements, I won't require much training. I can learn by example and without someone holding my hand. I'm also physically fit and able to meet all the demands of the job. I can work 10+ hours on my feet without tiring. I can lift, carry and transport items up to 30lbs. I've also assisted with the moving and rolling of patients when aided by another staffer. I'm currently thinking of going back to school and becoming a physical therapy in addition to a CNA. I am a very caring individual who is able to make tough decisions when caring for others. I first became interested in being a caregiver because my mother was a provider. Seeing her find fulfillment and joy in helping others was very rewarding. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I knew that it was my turn to be a caregiver. I provided meals, transportation, companionship, comfort, helping with insurance claims, and caring for her post-surgical wounds. I enjoy the hard work to help someone. The effort is all worth it knowing I have made someone's life just a tad easier.

i became a provider simply because my grandmother needed one. everyone in my family is hostile towards her nor do they check up on her. i see myself in her shoes one day as for she has lupus and other neurological disorders therefore, i wish to do everything in my power to make whatever time she has left memorable. i pray i get treated with respect and dignity once i'm her age.

Hello to all: I have cared for my mom ( dementia), so I understand there's a need for good a person to care for their loved ones. Also, having someone you can trust in your home is very important.
