I'm certified by the State of Texas as a CNA; I completed a 8-week training course at Houston Community College. I did a month of clinical at Treemont Assisted Living facility located in Houston, Texas. My duties were feeding, bathing, dress, and assist with mobility. In terms of your job requirements, I can cook, clean, and do laundry, lift, carry and transport items up to 30lbs. I've had the opportunity to work at Texana for 2 1/2 years as a House Parent during those exact duties. Due to me taking care of my husband my certification expired didn't get a chance to finish renewing it. I'd love the opportunity to sit down with you and discuss it in person. I've wanted to work in the medical field since around 2009. Before my great grandmother passed away, she was a caregiver. So was my mom and my great aunt was a Registered Nurse. So it kind of ran in the family.

Very kind and compassionate Have been caregiving for 20+ yrs CPR certified I enjoy caring for and interacting with a variety of people, but I am very partial to Seniors. Finding out their likes and dislikes and being able to take care of them in a compassionate manner, talking with them and listening to them has afforded me joy in learning about them and letting them know they still have so much value to the world. Recently I have been working privately for families, so this system is new but good. I feel comfortable and able to contribute to their health care plans while sharing information with the family .

Hello there! My name is Anita and I have been a caregiver for 7 years. Im very energetic, compassionate, empathetic, and ambitious. I started caregiving my grandmother after she had a stroke 2015. I loved taking care of her and when she passed I saw caregiving as something I can make a career out of. I enjoyed the most the companionship and making her feel comfortable and safe. I also enjoy watching my clients grow to trust me and know that they will be well taken care of. I am proud that I was able to finish school while taking care of clients and learn so many things as I went through that journey

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that i have empathy, patience, dependable and honest, compassionate, dedicated, positive and flexible. I became a caregiver, because I had to take care of my Mother-In-Law before she passed away in July of 2020. What I like about being a caregiver is the companionship with the client. Being able to talk with them and share stories and watch them get excited as they tell there stories and gain knowledge and wisdom from them which is priceless! I became a care giver because I realized how hard it was to find competent, reliable, and compassionate care givers when I had to take care of my grandmother. I want to help people and not have them resort to various care facilities just because it is too difficult to find decent care professionals. I love being a companion to people and helping them in various aspects to find joy in life. I am in the process of becoming a RN to further help others on a more clinical level. Hello, my name is Richard. I started my health care profession in 1998 as a Mental Health Mental Retardation Aide with Brenham State Supported Living Center. I was hands on meeting my residents daily living needs from bathing to taken my individuals to school and/or other itineraries. Since then I received my bachelor's in Psychology and my master in Marriage & Family Studies. I work with individuals with depression, intellectual development disabilities, autism, dementia and other mental illnesses. Currently, I work with The Harris Center as a Care Coordinator providing illness management recovery, daily coping skills and skills training to individuals with mental disorders/illness. With my years of hands on experience in mental health and direct care services, I am interested in providing part time direct professional services to families needing hands on skills training and direct care support for their love one. What I really enjoy about being a caregiver is simply being there for them, talking to them, helping them accomplish and take care of their needs. One of the personal achievements I am proud of is helping a elderly lady become more comfortable in her home and helping her feel like herself. She recently had a major accident and have been experiencing anxiety and trouble sleeping. I would perform exercises with her to control her breathing and it helps sooth her and she's able to calm down so she's able to have a good nights rest. I have experience working with dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, depression, sundowning, anxiety, companionship, running errands and taking customers to and from appointments. I enjoy doing what it takes to make sure my patients are happy , all duties have been fulfilled and they feel loved and cared for.
