Kids got to college and I decided I'd do what was in my heart! Hello. My name is Amy. I was a fine arts teacher in Texas working with teenagers and adults for 25 years. Seven years ago I moved to California and decided to change careers, working with seniors this time, helping them to have a better quality of life. As a senior caregiver for the last 5 years most of my clients have remained in their homes to receive care, but I've also helped some in assisted living facilities and hospitals. I have experience working with seniors who have had Alzhiemer's disease, dementia, memory impairment, visual and hearing deficits, end stage cancer as well as those who need short term assistance while healing from various injuries and surgeries. I am a very empathetic, kind-hearted and compassionate person who loves to help others. I prefer working part time and daytime shifts. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. My husband and our 4 children just moved out here to this area about a year ago for his job at Lockheed Martin. We have 3 beautiful 11 year old daughters and 1 very handsome 14 year son. We are very family oriented and love the Lord very much. I am currently a Pharmacy Technician, but I also have many years of experience loving the elderly as my own family and I hope I can show your family member love too.

Honestly, I first became a caregiver because I understood job security, but quickly became my passion. One of my greatest accomplishments in caregiving was when I had to teach my son to walk again after having a major surgery. My heart was so overwhelmed because doctors said he wouldn't. Love, patience, and determination helped to overcome his illness. I will treat your loved one with the same dignity and respect.

I love helping others the young and the elder. I try to keep a happy go lucky spirit about me at all times. I was raised by grandparents and at early age I had to learn how to care from them. Being a great caregiver consists of having compassion and true understanding of senior care. Alzheimer/Dementia patients are a plus for me. My mother has dementia and there is a special kind of love and care that is needed on a daily basis with a lot of patience.
