I am currently in nursing school and I would love to gain more hands on experience with caregiving. I am caring and empathetic towards people. I have always been drawn to help people. I have a CPR-BLS certification. I have done a variety of skills during my clinical rotations. I like being able to be there for someone who really needs support.

The thing that makes me a great caregiver is from seeing everyone in my family be such amazing caregivers, they are all so great at caring for others and giving to others. They inspire me to be the best care giver that I can be. I am a happy person and I always have been, and I have always loved to nurture and care for others, it makes me happy. My family attracted me to be a caregiver, cause they are all such amazing people and are always giving to others. I enjoy putting a smile on other people's faces and seeing how happy they are once I've helped them feel better. My grandmother and I have a very close relationship. I love going and visiting her as much as I can. My mom used to work in a senior home and I loved to go up there and bring her dinner and get to talk to the elderly she was watching at the time. If you choose me, you won't regret it. I became a certified nurse aide to get closer to peoples heart. To know that you are assisting someone that trusts you to take great care of them is gratifying, and that would have to also be one of the main attributes that I love about being a CNA. A personal achievement of mines would be completing my first degree, Being that I was the only one in my family to even o to college but me against my odds. Despite of all the obstacles I encountered during my achievement, I finished and overcame them. I am very respectable and personally driven. I can adapt to any situation and very dependable.

Care giving is so important to the people that have love ones they would like to be keep at home in an environment that formula n happy and family orient. When someone asks me why I became a nurse I have always given the same answer. And that answer is, that due to some unfortunate events in my own personal life when I was in high school I became enamored and somewhat comforted by hospitals, nurses and the entire thought of taking care of someone in their hardest of times. Shortly after I lost my mother to cancer at 17yrs old I would find myself sneaking out to go to the hospital lobby I had become so accustomed to, sometimes for a couple hours and sometimes all night....i think it was the hard pleather couches and lemon smell. I think the nurses just let me do it because they knew I needed to be there to be close to her but I'd also like to think they knew I was so grateful and blown away at the thought of their profession and their complete unconditional love for not only her but my entire family...I think they knew I had found a passion and that is what I've been doing since 1999. I've worked in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, clinic, home health and hospice and have absolutely enjoyed every moment of it, wouldn't trade it for the world(okay not gonna lie, there may be a few moments I could have gone without). I have met some amazing people whether its coworkers or patients/family and am truly better for it all.
