Shortly after I departed the U.S. Army I made a career choice and went into the medical field of geriatrics. I was trained for my CNA position and as I was taught to respect the seniors that I serve and take care of them to the best of my ability. I did just that. I developed many lasting relationships with my clients by showing them respect and dignity. I listened to their life experiences and became proficient at providing excellent care. I strive to deliver the very best care and keep each clients health and safety a top priority. I have many exceptional references and would be glad to share the info upon request. Hello! My name is Ruth. I love being a caregiver because it rewards me with the ability to help our seniors. I love spending time with them and listening to all they have to share! They have so much knowledge, and expertise, and love to here all their memories. I became a caregiver when my dear friend, and "POPS" to my children, health started to fail. I helped him with housekeeping, bookkeeping, doctors appts, meal prep, medication reminders, and eventually his last will. My kids loved him. I decided to continue with caregiving. A 95 year old lady, that lives down the street, was my next patient, my kids loved her as well! My greatest achievement was a 86 yr old lady, who had a mild stroke. She wasn't even aware of it, yet with time, and lots of love? She was back to herself working in the garden as she loved to do! And she is doing fine today!

I became a caregiver because im very passionate about helping people and caring for them. I like being able to make soneone smile and feel good about themselves because i gave a helping hand to help them better themselves. I like the fact that my kindness can make a difference. One acheivement i pride myself in is my work and attitude. I am very thorough punctual and kind spirited. I like being able to make a difference. I like being positive and bring out the best in any resident. I once worked at a place and their core value abreviation was C.H.I.R.P. and i take heed to the meanings each and everyday because they help my work performance. C.H.I.R.P. stands foe Compassion, Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Positivity.

I became a caregiver because I love being able to care for individuals who have a disability to performing daily duties for themselves. Knowing that I have done something beneficial to aid someone is satisfactory to myself. I am a Certified Personal Care Aid. I have been working in this profession for approximately 3 years. I have experience with amputees, hoyer lifts, and transferring and so much more . I have worked for 4 healthcare companies and have put my hard work into all of these agencies. I am currently working for an agency, but I am available 2 days in the evening.

I'm well liked, easy going and non combative! I was attracted because my neighbor needs help and asked me too apply. I enjoy the fact that I can look out for my neighbor without her feeling intrusive or time consuming. I'm proud the fact that I love who I am and people around me like who I am also!
