I became a caregiver because, I like to help those that can't help themselves. I am a naturally compassionate person. As a caregiver I need a job that can easily let me express myself professionally and amicably.A personal achievement that I am proud of is graduating from college, and also overcoming the loss of my father I am able to encourage myself. I have been a caregiver for over several years. I am a certified home health aide and graduated as a medical assistant in 2014. I have been married for 13 years and have one child, that is thirteen. I love nature and being around people that enjoy life, no matter what it may bring, oh the beach is my favorite place in the summer, I like to read, mostly mystery or inspirational stories. I like bike riding with my daughter, just the simple things in life. I like to attend church when I am not working. Over all I am always up to learning knew things.

I started doing this job when i was about fifteen years old and attended a small school called Allied health. The one thing i enjoy most about being a cargiver is that i get to see my clienents everyday and i spend more time with them the most. I have worked in geriatrics with well-aged and the frail elderly my entire career. I know the importance in keeping a loved one home in their own bed as long as it is physically unsafe. I have worked as an assisted living nursing director and administrator, was the Erie County Ombudsman Director, operated a social day care and must rewardingly work hands on with the elderly. I enjoy interacting with people and their families. I have been the primary caregiver for both my parents so I know the love and devotion needed to transition into caregiver from child.

Hello, My Name is Ebony Cook I'm 26 & I'm a mother of four. I applied for this job due to the love I have and show to people. I have a mother that's epilepsy & started having seizures when I was 14. Due to that I had a lot of hard task ahead of me . Dealing with her seizures, comas etc it taught me a lot of patience& the importance of your patience with others because it can easily be you. I began working for a company called Helping Hearts Senior Care. There I would go out to different homes & help with housekeeping, bathing, med taking, meal prep etc. I've also worked for Davita for a few weeks learning more about blood than I ever imagined & the importance of cleaning it . I currently was looking into starting classes as a Pct but also miss my caregiving career.
