I become a caregiver because taking care of people is my passion, my dream is to be a RN one day and caregiver is one step closer into becoming an RN and gives me experience, and to never forget the simple tasks of that patient, nurse care. 2. I like that I can be there for the patient whenever the patient needs me. 3. One personal achievement that I am proud of is passing my LVN, and now I'm just waiting to take my boards. 4. I really enjoy taking care of people, its something I have always felt i was meant to do that in this life. I enjoy making people happy, and taking time out of my schedule to help others. I love baseball, and have many things to achieve and complete.

Hello I'm Katy! I am a 20 year old who loves to work with the elderly or anybody with a disability. I love to see the smiles on peoples faces when I am giving them the care they need, it lightens my day. I am very outgoing and willing to go the extra mile for anybody who needs my help. I hold my QMAP, First Aid, CPR, and AED. I feel it is my life long duty to help people as much as I can, when I help people I feel accomplished because I know I am making a difference in peoples lives. My passion for becoming a caregiver started when I was a very young child. My mother would take me and my brother to visit my grandparents in nursing homes. I saw how well cared for people can taken care of. But it really started to sink in that I could do this when I was 17 my cousin was dying of stage 4 breast cancer. I helped her for 8 months every day. Taking her to doctor visits, reminding her to take her meds, making meals for her and bathing/dressing her. While in this time she showed me that I had compassion and a heart for a job like this. A lot of people can say that care giving is easy, but if they dont have a strong stomach for certain things and a heart of gold not many can call this a career. I'm a full believer that when a person is in need to medical help and able to be at home it is 100% better for that individual. Its their surroundings, their home, their comfort. And when you add a supportive family it makes everything a whole lot better too. I also believe that our elderly deserve the very best care that they can get. After all a lot have had families of their own, raised their childern,worked for years, and now that they are older they deserve the very best care that there is out there.

I am an excellent caregiver because I am hard working, dependable and dedicated to become a well rounded nurse. I decided to become a caregiver when my mother had to undergo knee surgery for both of her knees. She also suffers from bi-polar disorder and has many other health issues. I also have a son with ADHD, so I'm fully aware of the need for caring, compassionate and reliable caregiver as well as mental health. hi my name is NYREE THOMAS, I am forty-three yrs old, I first beginned to work as a caregiver straight out of high school, my first client was my very own grandfather. I saw so much pain in his face everyday because he did not want me to have to go through the heartache of caring for him knowing that one day he would not be here much longer, but I did it anyways. after he passed I knew from that moment I knew caring for seniors was what I wanted to do. caring for senior citizens bring me so much joy to see how much they are so grateful that we as cargivers care enough to take the time out to care for others as well as their own. I have been doing this kind of work for twenty-three yrs and as I stated before I love it. I have two beautiful and loving sons whom are my whole world, they are adults now but they will always be my babies I still care for them like I do everyone else. I am proud of all of my achievements starting with the love and compassionate heart I have. when I wake up each morning knowing that I am about to go and put a smile on another clients face and let them know that their lives are just beginning each and everyday, knowing that they feel a whole lot better than they did before I arrived at their door.
